Re: SEMA 2009: Custom Camaros Everywhere!
Not one of those Camaros looks good? Damn, some were tacky, but none looked good? None? Would a lowered Corolla with a fart can, and wing get you wet? Or a would a twisted frame Turdra get you happy? Dang.

Re: SEMA 2009: Custom Camaros Everywhere!
This White one definitely looks good to me... it doesn't portray the tackiness like some others do... I would drive one that looked like this one with no problem whatsoever!

Re: SEMA 2009: Custom Camaros Everywhere!
The first one looks decent, as does the all-black one next to the Mustang (#4). The one with the extended intakes behind the doors looks ruined, imo. The silver one above the white Camaro photos (with the cut-outs on the front of the hood) looks good, and I do like the black Lingenfelter toward the end, minus the finish texture on the hood. With all the modifications, one knew there would have to be a Bumblebee car in there somewhere.
I am a fan of the simple, no body kit versions, but even then, it will be a few years before I can have one of my own. |

If you've never been to SEMA then you really don't know what you're missing. Those cars are just a small representation of what is at SEMA.

Re: SEMA 2009: Custom Camaros Everywhere!
For the most part I agree. Pretty typical for SEMA. I just look for the small detail here or there that I find interesting or perhaps a new twist on powertrains. Overall they are too cartoonish for me.

Re: SEMA 2009: Custom Camaros Everywhere!
These SEMA guys are just 'mailing it in'. Take any base car (Camaro, Mustang, Challenger) slap on an oversized hoodscoop, billet grille, ducktail spoiler, exaggerated wheel set and flake the paint. All the cars are essentially the same. Could they put any less effort into these cars?

Re: SEMA 2009: Custom Camaros Everywhere!
Damn, there is more then a few that I would take there. Or even a few that would like to combine elements of each as well.
