Re: Production Camaro Aux Gauges Caught
Long time GMI members will recall that the instrument guages and HVAC/Radio units of the GMT900s were photographed and posted here in a similar fashion prior to their launch.

Re: Production Camaro Aux Gauges Caught
Guages were seen before on the red V6 RS mule that has been running around. There was no torque guage there, and a bunch of enthusisast will see this car in a week with the same guages.
Trans Temp guage is awesome! Guage pod should be available on RS equiped models only i thought? I guess we will get come clearing up in a week.

Re: Production Camaro Aux Gauges Caught
How do we know these are not after market products? Why would GM leak this type of photo? We know some will did or can get fired for this, so why would someone risk their job over the photo. If this was taken with a cellphone, then their would be a alpha tag hiddren into the file of the picture as to the phone number of the device that took the pic and its esn or imei #. That is very tracable just like how color printers leave a series of small dots on printouts that include serial #, make/model and all of the printer.

I just remember it being stated that the aux. guages would only be on 'loaded up' models, it's not in the base models.

Re: Production Camaro Aux Gauges Caught
A torque gauge would've been the 2nd coolest gauge ever after the vehicle tilt angle gauge on my old Montero.
It was appropriately nicknamed the "Cockometer".

Re: Production Camaro Aux Gauges Caught
I'm glad there's no torque gauge. I want gauges that tell me what my car is doing, if something is going wrong. A torque gauge is a gimmick. Gimmicks are for rice.

Re: Production Camaro Aux Gauges Caught
Navigation will be an option late into the model year, but not right off the bat.
There was a thread where everyone went into a freak-out frenzy about the Camaro not getting navi from the get go. Camaro will get turn by turn, but an optional navi screen will be available later.

Re: Production Camaro Aux Gauges Caught
Not the navigation crap again... geez people - buy a map. 90% of your driving or more is probably going to be within the same city you drive everyday anyways.
About the torque gauge - it was definitely gimmicky, kind of like the vacuum gauge in some of the early '60s cars like the Grand Prix. I'm glad they didn't go with that. Transmission temp, oil pressure, etc. are definitely more usable. Much more usable than a navigation system. If these cars become future collectibles in 25 years, the navigation systems will be made fun of just like the 8 track players in the '60s and '70s cars. It'll be like someone having an Atari 2600 hooked up in their Escalade right now.
