Partial Camaro Crash Test Ratings

Link to thread at Camaro5.com

Quote:
Crash test results for the 2010 Camaro are finally starting to roll in. In tests conducted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the Camaro has received a 5-star (the highest possible) rating for Side-Driver and Rollover-2-wheel-drive rating. The Camaro only has an 8% chance of a rollover in the event of an accident. Still to be tested are the Frontal Driver, Frontal Passenger and Side Rear Passenger ratings. From safercar.gov

Five stars, eh? Well can it out-crash a Mustang?

Kidding aside, I'm not surprised the Camaro did/is doing well in crash results. It's not exactly the smallest car on the road.

Re: Partial Camaro Crash Test Ratings

I wonder if the NHTSA is simply awaiting more idiots to crash their Camaros to get the real-world results. So far it seems quite a number of owners have crashed their Camaros and I've not heard of any serious injuries.

That is one dead pony. As for the Camaro I'd expect 5 stars all the way around given its roots.
