GM sells lots of little crappy cars for people that car about fuel economy. Buy one of those. They've got to be giving away the Astra, Solstice and Sky by now since all of them aren't too popular. Don't forget the Cobalt SS or just-released (and strangely appealing) HHR SS too.

Wow, nearly 4000lbs for the SS.

That's gonna hurt a bit.

Looks great.
Kudos GM

Never heard of that before.
Its alignment of the wheels. Most newer cars all the specs are NOT adjustable anymore which is fine for most people, but if you like road racing you can play with the settings as required for the track/your style of driving. A nice feature.

Also, some cars like the G35 coupe/350z had issues with tires feathering and wearing out really fast, nothing to adjust other than toe in so you have to live with it...at least being fully adjustable you can compensate for things like that.

2 more cents: my co worker is a tried and true Toyota guy and he is very interested in buying a Camaro when his current car is paid off. I have been waiting for a long time and I am even more interested. Ill be ready to buy when it comes out just when My Trailblazer SS is paid off.

Daayyum, this car rocks. I'm going to wait for the convertible this time around though.

Black or bright red...decisions, decisions...nice job GM.

I'm surprised to see this thing is going to have variable ratio steering, a nice feature imo.

And what do they mean by "fully adjustable camber, caster, and toe"?

Never heard of that before.
As mentioned by the OP, the suspension adjustability is a useful but increasingly rare feature. And full adjustability also brings easy remedial action towards perfect alignment in all facets of suspension movement whether the structure has been badly jigged at the factory, bent through a bad pothole or an accident, or has become distorted from just plain wearing out. Otherwise it'd be off to the crash repairer and onto the Car-o-liner for what you hope might be a precise cure

Full-size Holdens have featured variable ratio steering since 1971 (patented by AE Bishop & Co, Sydney)

Well, at least it's nice to see that you aren't all about Pontiacs. This car could easily put me as it's target buyer. As long as the price is right. I would have to spring for the RS package just for the HID headlights.

That's what I suspected it was but wasn't sure. This car may get a nice following with the tuner crowd the same way older JPN sports cars have.

Not that its in the same class as the Mustang, supposedly, but its V6 is on par with the GT's V8, thats embarrassing. What's even more embarrassing is that the G8 GT would practically walk all over the Charger SRT-8, and the Challenger weighs just as much if not more as the Charger. So considering that the Camaro comes in at under what the G8 weighs, the Camaro should be quicker than the Challenger SRT-8 as well. So nothing like stomping the competition. My only fear would concern the 2010 Mustang, and what Ford has up its sleeve.

The fuel economy seems disappointing, solely because the Vette with the LS3+automatic without AFM gets 26 mpg highway.
