I'm glad I'm not the only one. I specifically went to my area Chevrolet dealership-on Sunday-to take a look at the sole model they have on their lot. I'm trying to see what people are all excited about, but honestly, I'm not feeling it. I don't think it's a bad design-and certainly it's better looking than the model it replaces-but I'm really at a loss for all the excitement about this car's design. Again, it's not bad, but in light of what GM has been producing lately, I find this a relatively uninspired design, really from any angle.

Interesting that when I was looking at the new Malibu a new Accord sedan drove by. And while some may not like the style, it certainly comes across as more sophisticated and upscale than the new Malibu. And while many on this site will claim the new Accord is "ugly," and the new Malibu is well done, I think the larger family sedan-buying public will see it differently.

I really don't like the way the rear end looks in the rear 3/4 pictures, but that good just be bad GM photography. I guess I will have to see it in person, especially since I have heard only that it looks far better in person.

That is kind of the point of the Ma
ibu design...it doesn't offend.

The Accord sedan looks upscale because it rips lines off of BMW, Mercedes and Lexus. So your brain connects it with those cars.

Thumbs down Re: More Mali: GM Releases [More] New Malibu Photos

The Malibu is just another "looks like something else car". I think the black and tan "coon dog" interior is horrible!
I'm GM, I have two newer models in my garage, but this car shows me nothing. People will first look at the MPG sticker and say........this thing doesn't compare to a Honda and it's too close to the Impala to sacrifice the size.
IMHO.try again........GM

The Malibu's sticker reads: 22/30.
The Accord's sticker reads: 21/31.

The Malibu Hybrid's sticker reads: 24/32
The Accord Hybrid's sticker reads: --/--

Please explain how that does not compare to a Honda.

As for the color of interior, if you don't like that color, you can get all gray or all tan or all charcoal. That is absolutely no reason to not buy the car.

This segment is not for car buffs. Its for families wanting a nice, safe ,comfortable means to go from home to their lives.

Very nice! GM photography DOES know how to take pictures after all. These pictures definitely capture the look of the car much better, this is the best looking mid-sizer out there.
