Here are the other pics I referenced:

Front & side: I think it's clean, understated, attractive.

Rear: A snooze.

Ew, I'm not liking that at all. Production one looks much better, IMO!

Now I like this. Where is this car from, SEMA or something?

Re: GM Finally Releases Cobalt SS Sedan Pic

a friend just picked up his black HHR SS with turbocharger and it is a very nice machine. he also owns a 2008 ZO-6 so this will be his play toy.

I agree as well. It is a nice looking car but does not draw too much attention to itself. It is getting a little old but I've always like sedan. The car still leaves plenty of room for improvement but I don't see why people were drooling over the 2-door but so many don't like the 4-door.

Re: GM Finally Releases Cobalt SS Sedan Pic

I like everything except that I think it would look better with the coupe tail lights.

It's a 4 or 5 year old design.....the fact that it has a 260 horsepower motor and can out run most cars on the road is the best thing about it. It's a sleeper.

Who wouldn't take a 260 horsepower Cobalt SS over a Toyota Corolla S or even the 200 horsepower Civic Si? The only car out there in this category that I like better is the Mazdaspeed 3...which cost several thousand more than the Cobalt (althought the Mazda has more up to date styling and nicer interior).

I love that it isn't overdone.....the only people who know it's fast will be the sport compact crowds....think about how many Altimas, Mustangs, Accords, and Celicas that this Cobalt is going to humiliate..

I too am curious as to what the new one will look like. Have there been any leaked pics yet?

And it is a great sleeper of a car. Remove the badges and the wing, also move the boost gauge and you have your self a sleeper.

Sleeper....as in...put me to....

I'm sorry, but these teensy cars are supposed to be riced out...especially if they have to go to back it up. I hate wings and such on Civics and Cobalts...unless they are actually fast, and then it looks good.

I honestly don't get what the point of the sedan is. Who is going to buy that? When we all say we love sport sedans, we didn't mean Cobalts...

Exactly, but why is it that if they are smart enough to know the rest of the world demands a decent car, they still think that in North America we want to drive ****?

Economies of scale. If they are building a product that is going to be sold globally, they are looking at way more sales per year on that model than they would just selling it in North America. Thus, they invest more in it.

Re: GM Finally Releases Cobalt SS Sedan Pic

nice wheels but overall boring and minimal body changes for an SS model

oh, and that front overhang is horrendous. Never realized the distance from the front wheel to the bumper is WAY longer than the rear wheel to the back bumper... very awkward proportions (yes yes I know it is front wheel drive but still...)
