In recent weeks spy photographs have already revealed the latest Daewoo product; however it is now official. Today at the 2010 Busan International Motor Show GM Daewoo revealed the Alpheon luxury sedan.
Obviously the new Alpheon is based on the Buick LaCrosse from China and North America, making the new LaCrosse even more of a global product for General Motors Company.
The new Alpheon will launch in the second half of 2010 in South Korea with the same 3.0L High Feature V6 and six-speed automatic that the 2010 Buick LaCrosse launched with.
Alpheon is expected to compete with recent upper-midsize sedans launched from Hyundai.
“With the introduction of the all-new Alpheon luxury sedan, we have added another attractive model to our product portfolio and our first entry in the fast-growing upper-midsize segment in Korea,” said GM Daewoo President and CEO Mike Arcamone. “I am confident that the Alpheon will surpass the demands of the most sophisticated luxury sedan buyers in Korea.”
