Anyone catch the G8 GXP in the video? You have to be quick, but there is one that comes up a couple of times.
Yes, it was at the beginning of the video as well at the gas station. I didn't spy any GXP badges (I'm sure the mules wouldn't have them anyway) and the wheels don't look like those on the concept but a different type of split spoke wheel. Since it was black as well it was hard for me to see if it had the GXP front end on it as well.

Points of interest....

Snowflakes flying in the beginning? Jeesh, sounds like Canada. (Yes I know it's Germany)

Exhaust note, very deep, dare I say TOO deep??? Probably just me. Maybe I need to hear some WOT runs.

Did anyone else get a weird Monte Carlo SS (circa 84-87) front end vibe during the video? That isn't necessarily a bad thing as I really liked the 84-87 Monte SS's when they were out.

Fun to watch. Can't wait to see the Camaro in some exciting color, unlike many black puts me to sleep.

Re: Excellent new video of 2010 Camaro on German roads and in testing (6+ minutes)

At 5 min 50 sec when when the G8 GXP is in front of the Camaro you can hear the LS3 in the G8 then the Camaro goes by and they sound very similar. That Camaro Sounds just like the yellow Camaro in Transformers.
I think the car with the bigger rims and red calipers is the SS and the car with the smaler rims is the Z28.
I gotta get me one of these!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree. With no trim, the black looks really basic.

Maybe they will come out with Hugger Orange.

I still love the new Camaro though. Still may have to get one after all the excitement wears off. Still don't see dealers able to stock Malibus yet and I would assume (hope) Chevy will sell more Malibu's than Camaro's.

I'll give you that but you're supposed to let the faster cars pass you. When the Camaro turned a corner you could hear the tires squeal but the Porsche turned the corner with aplomb.

Man, did it hurt to type 'aplomb'? Don't see that word used much these days.

I wouldn't say that the Porsche outhandled the Camaro, but I don't think the Camaro driver was trying to keep up with the Porsche. I think the Porsche was just going faster. Unless you were in the car to tell us of the great struggle the Camaro driver had, this video doesn't mean squat....so what if the tires squealed? That doesn't mean anything, either. But, if you get a stiffy for the Porshce, that's fine. An overpriced VW is pretty cool, I guess.

That's what a true, red white and blue muscle car looks and sounds like.

That's not a feeling that a buzzing, popping, woofing four cylinder turbo can ever replace. Keep that BS out of the Camaro and design small light cars for that purprose instead.

It hurt a little.

To be honest, GM has done a great job with the Camaro. It looks good, the interior is nice, and it's fast. I know it's not supposed to be a Porsche but it would be nice to see a GM sports car that can handle the twisties and not rely so much on brute force.
