Re: edmunds: 2009 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 Goes 205 mph-Plus!

Impressive, but less so than I thought.
With GM only making 2K units, then suddenly it seems like just another rare and expensive, hand assembled exotic sports car, that happens to be be less expensive than most.

I would have been far more impressed if they did not make it so rare, and more attainable to the masses. Otherwise, it might as well sit in a crate.

Well I would wager that its the least expensive 200+ mph production car that you can buy and service anywhere with a 100,000 mile warranty, I would say thats pretty impressive.

The current BMW M5 is capable of 200+ in production form....One need only remove the vmax setting to accomplish it in the USA....Nitpicking, but true.....

Some engineers must have a really, really difficult time leaving work:

"Mr. Sewell, the track is closing, the lights are out. Please go home, now. Please."

I've been privy to pics of the 2012 Vette. Before they get removed look for yourself. Is this a "bad ass" machine or what?
