Confirmed: 2015 Chevrolet Colorado Debuting Next Week

The final piece of Chevy's truck puzzle to bow in LA.

This morning Chevrolet confirmed the upcoming Colorado midsize pickup will debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show. Specifically, the new pickup will be shown next week, November 20th, during the show's press days.

The 2015 Colorado represents the final piece of Chevrolet's "three-truck" strategy, which includes the Silverado HD and Silverado 1500 on the bigger side of the truck spectrum. Based on similar underpinnings to the Colorado sold in select global markets, the North American Colorado is expected to showcase a new look inside and out, as well as entirely different powertrains from the global truck. Production of the truck is slated to begin next year at GM's Wentzville, Mo. assembly plant.

GMI will be live from the Colorado's reveal next week in LA. We encourage you to follow us on Twitter and Facebook for live shots as the reveal takes place.

The all-new Chevrolet Colorado will reinvent what a midsized pickup should be. The Colorado is engineered to be the most capable, most versatile and technologically advanced midsized truck in the market. Watch it revealed live from Los Angeles on November 20 here: http://youtu.be/-XkUGs-OEE4.

Here's to hoping it looks nothing like the previous one or Holden's Colorado. I think a smaller version of the Silverado would be nice.

We'll see what is meant by "entirely different powertrains". Of course we can expect the 2.5L and 3.6L but I think there will be widespread disappointment if the 2.8L diesel doesn't make it into the US Colorado/Canyon.

I was having the exact same thoughts, l really like Holden but not a big fan of their Colorado, Chevy have done fantastic job of the new Silverado it will start to steal sales its the best truck on the market at the moment.

I bet the U.S. spec Colorado will be significantly different than the global one.
One should not use results from overseas tests of the global truck and use them as a gauge for ours.

I'm excited and nervous. NSAP, you guys ( the MODS and Editiors) have been awfully quiet about this. Do you guys know anything?? I need more inside news LOL
You can tell that GM really cared about the ATS from day one. If GM cared about all its vehicles that way they would truely be #1.

The truck/pick-up has the bones to be a winner. I can't speak for everyone else, but not all people buy these out of neccessity. A combination of good looks, fuel economy, flexibility and tech will propel this vehicle forward. Hopefully GM leaves the "Sonic" insipred interior where it belongs...in the Sonic. Looking at the Silverado, I am hopeful. But if the grill is any indication, the inside might look like the Malibu.

Really excited about this. It looks significantly smaller than the Silverado so that is a plus for me.

    Canyon......?

Excited to see this! I hope the interior is on par with the Silverado and Sierra yet suitable for its size.

That's a nice picture up there. Hopefully we'll get another one with all three visible.

I'm sure the Canyon reveal will, unfortunately, be an afterthought attached to the Colorado reveal. (Much like the Sierra and Yukon were to the Silverado)

One thing's for sure: If the Sierra, Yukon, Acadia and Terrain are any indication, the Canyon will certainly be the better looking of the two.

I checked the LA Auto Show website this weekend and saw only Chevy having press time from 9:30-9:55 AM PST... no GMC. I hope we don't have to wait too long for the Canyon's debut!

I'm sure once those covered photos were taken the sheet came off for a bunch of uncovered ones. We'll know next Wednesday for sure!
