Re: Chevy MPV spotted testing, again.

I like the idea of GM advancing the mini-/minivan with E-Flex. It would also spread the cost of development out over more units more quickly. Makes sense to me.

A useful perspective, though I still think that the name Venture would do just fine in the States.

LCVs are Light Commercial Vehicles. I was specifically thinking of the smallest LCV segment, ones that are also marketed as leisure-activity vehicles, i.e. "factory-built conversions" with space for 5-7 passengers, often with some more off-road capability and generally marketed as practical business/family vehicles. Those are very popular in Europe, Latin America and some other markets, and GM only offers the ancient Opel/Chevrolet Combo there.

That name would be better suited on a (far less ugly) cousin to the vivaro.

Even Jalopnik is doing this. I agree, calling the Volt a hybrid gives a false connotation as to what it is.

Yep -- look at the similarities:

Headlights, roof rails, body creases, rearview mirrors, black trim around wheelwells and rocker panels .....

I predict that GM will show this MPV in Paris and then announce that it is ready for sale.

Re: Chevy MPV spotted testing, again.

I predict they will announce something looking production ready, then keep it on hold for a year or so and it will turn out the production model is actually less attractive in this way or another (see Aura).

The mirrors are awful, but you're right - this IS the same vehicle.
