Probably because the seats don't have matching inserts, which I'm sure they will.

As this is a pre-production car it only has to have seats.
And a steering wheel. It doesn't matter what they look like.

the interior rocks. this whole car is sharp, and not quirky like honda. the cloth inserts on the dash break up a huge chunk of plastic, and it's soft touch.

and it's "cozy" for average weight people, not cramped.
They should, the 1.4L and its brethren use direct injection and turbos to give you the power of a larger engine with the economy of a smaller engine.

What are you talking about????? EVERY SINGLE spy photo we've seen of this car has been taken overseas. (Which isn't surprising in the least, as that's where this car is being engineered/designed/tested.)

Re: Chevy Cruze Interior REVEALED!

Any way to put a Poll up here to see what people think about GM changing the name of the Cobalt to the Cruze? I am curious to see if I am in the minority of being royally pissed off about this.
When I heard they were changing the name of my car to the Cruze I threw up in my mouth a little.

Not quite on two fronts:

1) It is a GM DAT, it will obviously be launched in Korea first. It will also probably be sold in some Asian markets, and if the Cruze will completely replace the Lacetti @ GM DAT, it will have to become the new Holden Viva instantly.

2) Companies test their cars all accross the world, quite often far away from their main facilities, also to run away from hungry spy photographers (which is pretty futile, as each and every manufacturer ends up in Death Valley, were Brenda Priddy seems to have permanent stuff as there is so much to spy on ).

That and unless They're building the Cruze at Antwerp or Gilwice, the euro Cruze will have to come from Bupyong.

Done already.

Poll: Next Chevy Delta's name

Cruze isn't exactly popular, as you can see...

This is why GM has over 20 different locations in North America that are completely private and restricted? These locations have over 10 miles of track each. The goal to testing them in Europe currently is to test engineering processes to ensure they can be built there in the future and repaired. European roads are much different that North American ones as they require a cushier ride than you will want on a North American road.

Re: Chevy Cruze Interior REVEALED!

Actually, it's more about customer expectations than roads, but those two intertwine. And it's not so much about "cushiness", but good "road feeling" (the perception that you "feel" the road through car's controls, esp. steering wheel), and good and responsive handling (Europe has many more sharp and narrow turns, and generally driving here requires much more use of all the driving instruments, at least so says the adage).

I don't think any of the existing Astra factories would get the Cruze. Rumor has it FSO (Warsaw's Aveo-assembling plant) is actively lobbying for it after the loss of the old Daewoos, the question is only whether the EU gives (it considers the FSO to have gotten "public aid" and for some reason their ruling is a production cap at 80K IIRC).

Thank you very much.
Two suggestions-
1. Make the Poll a Front Page Item.
2. Send the Poll Results to GM.

Lets start a campaign to make them change their mind about the name. I really want to stay in the GM family but I will not buy a car with that name. I want a Cobalt damn it! (A better Cobalt than the one I have though).
