Re: Chevrolet Orlando to launch in 2009, U.S. likely to miss out

If this is true, its a shame. A really cool car, really cool.

If that's the case I hope GM at least does something with the HHR so that it functions as the US counterpart to the Orlando.

Minivans and wagons aren't cool enough for us, apparently.

Makes sense, seems like the Orlando would sell well. WHY would GM want to bring it here?

another bungle by GM. Is anyone steering the boat up there in Detroit or is it just lost at sea?

I think GM figures that if the PT Cruiser can truck on for 10 years than the HHR can too.

Re: Chevrolet Orlando to launch in 2009, U.S. likely to miss out

I think it is related to the continuance of the Cobalt. It is not slated to be discontinued for awhile, when it does retire I would expect the Orlando to replace the HHR at the same time.

Yeah, the WSJ reported a few weeks back that the Orlando won't be coming to the U.S.

I think GM is looking for another opportunity to be late to the party, again.

WTF?!?!! WTF???!?!!??! WTF??!?!?!?!

Yup, they will bring it here...4 years too late when it's style is dated and the competition had a chance to copy and refine the design...

WTF?!?!?!?

Number 1, according to the Feds the money will not be dispersed for months....and then only for alternative powertrain / energy development....and oh, by the way, #2....which are the "useless" crossovers? ....and what makes Orlando MORE useful? Styling is not "useful".
