"Orlando" means "Disney" which is of course a uniquely American thang and might promote a positive image for the model in export markets. Nevertheless, I think it's sharp-looking and has enough "Groove" styling cues to satisfy me. This, the similarly-styled Gamma crossover, the Cruze, the next Aveo and the Beat will give GM a very strong core lineup for global markets. I'm glad to see GM finally be taking not just small cars, but cars in general, seriously again. We may have to wait a few years but GM might actually righting its capsizing ship... |

I really like this it could provide a nice accent to the Traverse/Equinox/little baby crossover. With 7 seats FWD only it is a compact minivan. If the length is close to the Cobalt it will be about 4 inches longer than the original 80s Caravan. As long as there is a very different Zafira at Saturn I will be happy.

Re: Chevrolet Orlando Concept Revealed ahead of Paris Show
Nice interior. Except that it needs a real center console not those cheesy armrest sticking out of the seats.
But worst of all is the placement of the shifter. I know that that's becoming pupular on x-unders, but damn, it looks terrible, is impractical, and just plain dumb. |

Re: Chevrolet Orlando Concept Revealed ahead of Paris Show
It is very practical, the shifter is right at your hand (provided it's done right). The folding armrests allow for better access to rear seats (important e.g. for people travelling with kids.

Re: Chevrolet Orlando Concept Revealed ahead of Paris Show
I had that type of shifter on the Vibe, and while it was a tad too far forward to fall perfectly under your my comfortably, I got used to it and actually quite liked it.

At the Paris auto show, to reveal this vehicle, they should drive it out of a huge flower... I can even hear the announcer...
"Watch Orlando bloom"...

That interior is nice. I hope GM continues with this trend of upping the scale of their interiors. I like what I see.
