That's what I thought at first too, but this thing is Delta based like the HHR, not a subcompact, mirco car or B-segment(?).

Yeah, I think he meant styling-wise, because there's some strong resemblance.

Look at the equinox. it has no 3rd row and its been selling just fine for a long time now.
For all their vehicles that carry 7 people, most are crap for larger families ( 3+ kids ). Traverse looks nice, but it's the same size as an Outlook if I'm not mistaken.

Tahoe and Suburban cost a fortune, use the same amount of fuel and give you half of the interior space and only 1/2 - 2/3s the seating of a Chevy Express.

When they put the Astro out to pasture they should have put some money into the Express, give it a minivan interior and run with it. The convenience of a minivan, spacious interior, room behind the third row for strollers, hockey gear, golf bags, groceries for a family of 7 with the power to actually tow a trailer or boat or the soccer team, oh I wish I wish I wish. I'd live with the lower fuel economy over a minivan for the ability to do EVERYTHING I need.

HHR is a station wagon, not a van. The spy shots of the ' mini van ' look like it's about the same size as this thing.

The Uplander, while a nice van, is too narrow, doesn't have 8 passenger seating anymore and there's f-all room behind the third row seat. It's pretty well the same van since the Lumina APV, just wearing it's third skin and a revised suspension.

Damn it I want a real van ! LOL

I didn't think he meant styling-wise, but yeah styling-wise I thought the same. But I like this thing better than the triplet thing.

Reminds me of the Ford Kuga crossover, but will be one size smaller. Although normally I would say "oh no, not another crossover", they're a hell lot more fun and interesting than a standard 4 door sedan.

This could be a very cool, useful car.

I want to see the cargo room with seats up (not including a 3rd row) before I comment further.

It's interesting all right...

Nice interior too. Hopefully it'll be the HHR replacement. I think it'll be a hit.

I wonder how the fuel economy will be...

I'm liking the look of this car, inside and out. And that interior looks as good as the larger Malibu's and is right on par with a lot of European cars. I sure hope this is the next HHR....I'd buy one, especially if it'll use the same fuel-efficient 1.4L turbo as the Cruze.

Good Job, GM. Now bring it out and bring it here too.

Yeah thats what I was thiking too, I bet it would slot between the C Max and S Max size wise. I dont think it needs a 3rd row, and even being based on a stretched delta, i bet it will be mighty cramped. Just look at the larger Highlander and its space issue in the back.

Then again GM has been slacking on navs in Chevys. If this is for Europe i could really see them limiting Nav in Chevy because Opel is supposed to be positioned higher and thus more options would be left from Chevy.

Relax, it's just a compact minivan. Like that one, but less stylish:

Do remember GM never intended to release the triplets in North America, but can a an idea of what people would like to see in terms of design cues and ideas that can be directly given to upcoming models.

The interior shot looks like it was the Groove concept's interior.

Hmm, a baby Traverse. If this replaces the HHR, I wonder if it will keep the name. ''High Heritage Roof'' doesn't really fit this vehicle.

Let's just hope that "Orlando" won't be the final name...
