If this is on Delta than the Captiva is larger.

I like it alot. It has nice lines and that grille is distinctive compared to the rest of the blandness out there!!

That is a small amount of people. It will appeal to more people like this. I have been suggesting that many in my age bracket would consider it with more of a modern look.

Re: Chevrolet Orlando Concept Revealed ahead of Paris Show

Do people REALLY NEED third row seating in their SUV/CUVs?

Even back in the early 90's, those with a Dodge Caravan hardly ever used the back seat except for the "cool kids" to sit that far back.

I would actually rather have a little bit more space behind my second row of seats for storage than have a third row back there.

The intermingling of previously distinct automotive segments continues with the latest crossover concept car to come out of Chevrolet’s design studios. Going by the name of ‘Orlando,’ the concept combines elements of an SUV, family van and a wagon to create one of the most unique additions to the growing world of the crossover.
Unique? Really? Sounds like another RAV-4 to me. A compact CUV with a third row of seats for tiny tots. That said, I think it has potential.

So take out the third row or flip it down...

Cheap Korean cars, such as the Kia Cee'd and Hyundai i30 are currently among the hottest thing in the market. Want another try?

Doesn't have to. The Astra sedan is longer than the Vectra sedan. Looks pretty large to me anyway, I am not discussing milimetres here, it does give off an impression of being a large car, just like the Captiva is. Still much smaller than e.g. Chrysler 300.

I expect the "Orlando" (God help GM change that name) to be the size of Dodge Journey.

PS. The Orlando has a longer wheelbase than the Captiva.

I like it ok, I do wish the grille had the five points like the Traverse does. This looks more Silveradoish in the grille area to me.

This is clearly a hint of the next HHR and I'm very excited. I think that this will bring a lot more people into the Chevy showrooms that wouldn't have even considered the current HHR because of it's retro styling.
Thanks for letting me know. I corrected my first post.

I'm sure this vehicle will have the Flex-7 seating found in the Current Zafira.
The back seats fold FLAT in the floor, creating a nice storage space.

I'm also interested in what the Zafira will look like. I hope the sheetmetal is different.

Re: Chevrolet Orlando Concept Revealed ahead of Paris Show

Too many concave surfaces, too much flatness. Is that a concave hood? That front fender is a mess of a design, like a bad Mazda design. GM: stop pulling the headlights back. This isn't the 80s Japan. An aerodynamic nightmare.

I don't get what you mean. It looks like it could possibly be a very fuel efficient 7 person vehicle. That is something that is lacking in the current market. It does something nothing else currently does (in the US). The Kia Rondo is about the only other vehicle that would currently compete with it but is not nearly as attractive in my opinion. Hopefully this new HHR is much more fuel efficient than the Rondo as well. The Mazda 5 is similar but only a 6 seater.

I really like the looks of it!

I know that they can fold flat..... I just don't want to pay for all the machining and labor that goes into that kind of an option.

Plus the real question was do people really need third row seating. Do that many families in the demographic that would buy this kind of vehicle have more than 2-3 kids to warrant an extra row of seats?
