Chevrolet Hits SEMA With Five Radical Camaro Concepts

Jay Leno Camaro

Quote:
Chevrolet took the covers off five dramatic Camaro concepts at this week’s 2009 SEMA Auto Show, kicking off what is expected to be one of the event’s biggest showcases. The lineup of tuned muscle cars from Chevrolet cover nearly the full spectrum of Camaro modifications, with forced-induction, six-cylinder and V-8 fans all accounted for.

The best part is that rather than showcasing wild concepts that would never feasibly make it to production, many of the Camaro modifications and accessories on show can be ordered through Chevrolet dealers for installation at the time of the vehicle’s purchase. This allows customers to personalize their cars to their exact wishes, with installation handled by the dealer and the cost rolled into the monthly payments.

The silver one on top has a Mustang feel if that makes sense (but I like it!).

The upside down hockey stick is certainly a unique modern twist on a classic Camaro design that works well with the 5th gen lines.

The Jay Leno Camaro has a 425hp twin turbo 3.6L, that's sorta cool. Not LS7 cool, but not bad.

Help me out people, but the top silver one has the lower valance for the ever elusive Z/28, right?

Exactly what I was going to say. I think we just got our first look at the Z28 front bumper cover.

The silver one is the only one that looks appealing...or marketable to more than a handful.

The silver one is awesome, don't care for the grille, I like the production/concept grille better but that hood! If it was available I'd have bought it for mine! Glad it wasn't, the wallet is very skinny right now!

Twin Turbo 6! I've been waiting for GM to do a TT V6 since the torana concept. Hopefully they can engineer it into production but I'm not gonna hold my breath

I like the silver one alot. The hood is awesome.

Re: Chevrolet Hits SEMA With Five Radical Camaro Concepts

I just got a woody.......

The only thing I would change would be the wheels. Not a fan of multi spokes. Give me a nice meaty 5 spoker.

But that hood and front clip are great!!!!!

The rest are below average. Totally below average.

Re: Chevrolet Hits SEMA With Five Radical Camaro Concepts

According to several online articles I've read, the silver one is a mildly disguised Z/28.

As for the TT V6, that sounds like a good Northstar replacement. I can see that being dropped into several cars as a V8 alternative.
