All these special editions lately, it must be the end of the year again! The Chevrolet Cruze WTCC Edition has been launched on the Chinese auto market, priced from 123.900 yuan to 157.200 yuan. The Cruze World Touring Car Championship Edition is based on the regular Cruze sedan that is made in China by the Shanghai-GM joint venture

The WTCC Edition celebrates Chevrolet successes in the 2012 WTCC season with the Cruze race car. Chevrolet won the drivers title and the constructors title, one of the 12 events is on the Shanghai F1 Circuit, home of Shanghai-GM. Special thingies: an aerodynamic package consisting of extra plastic all around, and some racy stickers. The WTCC Edition can be had in any color. Engines are unchanged; 1.6 or 1.8 petrol.

I'd be interested to know how much the regular Chinese Cruze ranges in price, to see how much they're charging for stickers. I also wonder if there's a Chinese market equivalent to our RS package already.

I can not say that I know the Chinese auto market enough to say that this is a bad thing, different strokes for different markets.

If you look the Chinese Cruze also has a ground effects package as well.

I'm sure the Chinese market can absorb it. I hope it never reaches our shores. I would prefer to see a coupe and wagon before another stickered under-powered attempt at fooling the market.
