If they sell it at that price here, they won't keep them on the lots.

So much for "global" naming. Isn't this car called "Spark" elsewhere.

It wont be. Key elements that will increase the price here is:
-Bigger motor (The 'Beat' uses a 1199cc motor)
-side-impact airbags (gov't mandated for all 2010+ modles I beleive)
-standard dual airbags (only available on uplevel 'Beats')
-OnStar (to be standard on all 2011+ models)
-ABS (im sure will be a standard on USDM modles, only available on uplevel Beats)

I would suspect USDM pricing to be in around $10k to $12k USD...

I would suspect the new Aveo to move up in pricing to where the Cobalt is now. Not Cobalt MSRP, but, Cobalt AFTER incentives. Cruze will probably have an MSRP on par with the current Cobalt's MSRP, but, will not have cash on the hood.

Spark - $10 - $13k (USD)
Aveo - $13 - $16k (USD)
Cruze - $16 - $20* (USD)
Malibu - $20+ (USD)

(*more if there is an SS Cruze)

It's called "Beat" because the outgoing Spark will continue to be sold in India.
