Re: Camaro Wheel Selection!

Pretty happy with the wheel selection. Not a fan of the steel wheels, but like all of the other ones. As long as I can get any car with a traditional 5 spoke, I'm happy.

I would have to see them on the car. I'm just thinking if I spent $22K for a 'sport car' I would like to think it came with some kind of wheel other than steel.

Re: Camaro Wheel Selection!

^^^Well, they're just following in the base model Camaro tradition to keep costs down. I doubt many will actually be sold with steelies even though they are great retro repro of the old rally wheels.

At least they're not plain steel wheels with $4.00 plastic wheelcovers. The Steelies only come on the LS, though it will probably still be at least $22k. Guess they have to save money somewhere for the base car when they all have 300 horsepower and an IRS standard.

Re: Camaro Wheel Selection!

The OE 72 Z28 wheel 15x7 was @zero offset the new one is probably about +55 offset so for an 8 to nine inch wheel you will need about a 50mm spacer adapter....2 inches as stated before.
Tell me the exact OE offset and I'll tell you what you need and what will look best ...position wise on the car. Of course style is always a matter of opinion.

Doesn't the mustang come standard with aluminum wheels for the base model?
