A new Chevrolet Corvette doesn't happen often. It's been nine years since the last Corvette introduction, and even the 2014 marks only the seventh total. As one would expect from the information age, during this Corvette reveal much has leaked out in advance; some planned by GM, some clearly not.
In an effort to keep track of everything going surrounding the 2014 Corvette, we've compiled a one-stop location so that you are assured not to miss a thing before Sunday's official unveiling, during or after.
The all-new performance car is expected to ride on a revised version of the current Corvette's Y-Body chassis. The engine? That's no longer a mystery as GM has already announced and confirmed that the Generation V 6.2-liter V-8 will be the initial engine. This all-new 6.2-liter is said to offer the Corvette "at least" 450 horsepower, better fuel economy and a ton of new engine technology.
Additionally--thanks to recent, unplanned leaks--much of the all-new exterior design is now known. Several automotive magazines are naturally placing the car on next month's cover...meaning the cover-girl was photographed awhile back. The new design appears to be heavily influenced by the former Stingray, which is not a surprise.
The interior of the car is also allegedly entirely reworked with new technology and very high quality materials.
