Re: 2011 Chevy Cruze Interior Shown at Paris Auto Show
What is the problem with selling the Cruze and Cobalt side by side? It's already going to be produced for Europe, just ramp up production a bit quicker and only offer loaded, Cruzes in limited quantity to generate interest.
That way, GM has a great car in the compact car comparisons between the Cruze, Corolla, Civic and Focus. Also nothing gets people to want something like an inability to get it, see iPhone, iPod, wanting to get into that really hot club but can't because you aren't on the list.

Re: 2011 Chevy Cruze Interior Shown at Paris Auto Show
My only complaint is the goofy C-pillar filler plastic. Other than that its a great car. Wish we were getting it sooner.
My g/f who lovess her Civic, loves the Cruze more.

Yep, definitely blows everyone out of the water style-wise. Next runners-up, of those show, are Subaru and ironically enough, Hyundai, IMHO.
I hope that screen has a real NAV option, and it's not just a dummy screen like on the G8. |

That's really tight, I imagined something generic, but WOW, I was wrong!

Re: 2011 Chevy Cruze Interior Shown at Paris Auto Show
A girl I work with (28 year old) came into my office just now. She is in the market for a new car, so I showed her the pics of the interior and exterior and told her "Hey, take a look at the car that will be replacing the Cobalt". She liked the interior, but said she could not see any difference with the exterior. Her best girlfriend that works here owns a Cobalt. I brought up a pic of a Cobalt and put them side by side, and she said, "I don't see much difference.". I told her about how it is a completely different car, and she tells me she would "much rather have a Toyota or a Honda". Not even a specific vehicle, just a "Toyota or a Honda".
I think GM could build a car designed by God Himself and idiots like her won't consider it. |

Re: 2011 Chevy Cruze Interior Shown at Paris Auto Show
I love it! Amazing interior, definitely class leading. Imagine all the cool color and center stack material combinations there is. I particularly like some of those pictures of the outside with the Eiffel Tower backdrop, the Cruze looks a lot better in that then the usual grey background pics.

I want this car now!!! Wow, nothing in the segment compares. I love the styling of Audi and this car follows those lines. Small, compact, loaded, and aggressive.

Re: 2011 Chevy Cruze Interior Shown at Paris Auto Show
and people complain about the Accord's center stack having too many buttons? Looks like a watered down version of the design from the next LaCrosse/Invicta.
![]() That's not to say it's bad though, it's actually light years ahead of anything GM's put in a compact. Would love to see a closeup of the gauge cluster there......

Re: 2011 Chevy Cruze Interior Shown at Paris Auto Show
I believe that GM will one day so consistently well design and engineer its cars-like it seems the Cruze is-that GM won't have to resort to teaser images, premature movie cameos and the like to advertise its future vehicles. When this kind of stuff stops, consumers will know that GM's line-up is pervasively well-done and competent.
