I know, that would be nice. But I can't imagine any car being able to pass the increasingly rigid roof crush standards with no B pillar.

Re: 2011 Camaro convertible spied with top down

If the Camaro convertible launch were pushed up, we'd have people whining that what GM really needs to do is focus on the Cruze, Malibu, Aveo, even the GMT-900 replacement and not on some niche pony car. You can't please everyone. As it stands, the Camaro is selling well with one body style, so there's no rush.

BMW 3 series (coupe) has exactly 15 different exterior colors to choose from but most cars get 5 or 6 colors. Kinda sad.

Tell me who doesn't know that a convertible Camaro is coming. Who should be worrying is Ford, when GM decides to bring a full Camaro lineup to market it's going to be hard on the Mustang's sales.

The Mustang will continue to sell on the name and the look, which it has been for the past several years. Add to that the fact that Ford engineers never quit tweaking it and are constantly improving it, and people will still have compelling reasons to buy, all the more reason for GM to keep improving the Camaro. You can never count Mustang out.
