This is my favorite upcoming GM vehicle as of now. How much longer do we have to wait for pricing?

My guess is that pricing will be announced around April.

Would I be correct in assuming the "build your own" feature would go up around that time?

I think it's more of a RAV4 competitor than a Highlander competitor. Then again, I don't see a Hybrid RAV4 running around (I hope Toyota execs didn't hear me say that). But even without being a Hybrid, this beauty has both good power and excellent fuel economy over the other two. And a two-mode hybrid would just be that much better. If they can get over 30MPG with a hybrid, then by all means go for it.

Re: 2010 Equinox Dates, Details, Colors Emerge

I'm sorry to revive an old thread, but it would seem that I can't post my own yet. I suppose I need to get a few more posts under my belt first.

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone's head anything on Equinox pricing. I know the current one starts at like $25k. And Edmunds has the new one starting at $29k. That's probably just a guess on their part as I don't think that price would be competitive with the likes of the Rogue or Rav4.

I'm hoping they price the 4cycl LS model at around $23k.

What would it cost to put a switch in that makes the damn windows go back up all the way? cant be that much right? Glad that this is my only beef cause I love this new 'Nox!
One of the reasons I have always been given for no auto up in GM vehicles is because of safety. I've been told it has something to do with pinch protection.

I love the sound of the smart remote start feature. That will make me extremely happy. I've been wishing the seat heaters would start with the remote during the winter for so long. I can't wait for that to be implemented in other vehicles.

Thats a cop-out. Just like auto-closing sliding doors on minivans and the power closing rear hatches, auto-up windows have a feature that stop and reverse the closing when encountering an obstacle.

Pricing hasn't been announce, from what I can find.
In my opinion, If the VUE is supposedly more up market than the Equinox.
Then the Equinox should be at least 1,000 cheaper.
The vue starts at 24,000 for for 2wd and 26,000 for AWD.
I would think Equinox should start at 23 and 25.
Or a few hundred less.
Lets cross our fingers.

But the Vue is a smaller car, so it may not be as clearcut as that. Plus what if Saturn die and GM slot the VUE in as a short wheelbase brother to the Equinox?

You think it will be more than the current 09 Eqinox prices?

If they want to compete with Escape and Rav 4 or even santa fe for that matter. Price will have to be in line with them.
Escape starts at 20,500
Rav 4 starts at 21,500
Santa Fe starts at 21,500 also.
They would have to be somewhere around there right?

Do you really think they intend this to compete with the Escape and RAV4? It seems more like an Edge and Venza competitor than Escape and RAV4.
