Wheels:

• LT models will have optional machined 18", while LTZ models come with optional aluminum 19" chrome (18" standard on LTZ).

Options Explained:

• Smart Remote Start--When engaged the car takes note of the exterior temperature and interior conditions to activate the appropriate HVAC controls and/or heated seats.
  
• Navigation System--Optional on 2LT and LTZ. It's a 7" LCD touchscreen.
  
• Hard Disk Drive--40GB of storage for MP3's, photos and more. The system allows the user to rip music from USB drives and MP3 players to the in-dash hard drive. This comes with Equinox's optioned with Premium Audio System and/or Navigation System.
  
• Rear Entertainment System--Includes 2 LCD's for DVD viewing in the front seatbacks. Each screen can play/watch something different at the same time. Also included is 2 GB of flash memory to buffer audio for the rear passengers.
  
• USB Port--For full MP3 player integration. It utilizes Personal Device Interface Module to operate using the car's audio controls.
  
• Power Programmable Liftgate--The owner can set the liftgate to rise to a certain height.
  
• Rearview Camera System--Equinox's without navigation system can have a rearview camera through the rearview mirror. Models with navigation will have it through the navigation LCD.
  
• Ultrasonic Rear Park Assist--we know what that is.
  
• Projector-Beam Headlamps (as pictured)--Standard on LTZ, all other Equinox models will have halogens.

Still trying to talk my parents into getting one of these later this year. My dad has been talking about replacing their 98 Windstar finally, but has talked about it for a year, so its still just a small posibility. But after driving their Windstar over the holidays that thing needs to be replaced, there are so many little things right now wrong with it.

The new interior appears to fix the largest issues the Mrs had with the current equinox, particularly the hard plastics where you don't want such things.

Before we bought her 07 Aura XR, we really only looked at an Impala SS and Equinox. Both Chevy's fell down in her "interior comfort test" as compared to the much improved Saturn guts. Now that the Bow Tie guys appear to have "Malibu'd" the 'Nox, that issue is moot.

Hopefully we can have interior colors other than tan black and gray. Otherwise the interior looks good and the exterior is ok.

Good gracious that's one awesome looking CUV! It would be so cool if they shipped this across the ocean to other Chevrolet markets as the new Captiva. That would nicely differentiate it from the Antara... then again, it won't work if Chevrolet has a nicer CUV than Opel!
