0-60 times are irrelevant in a car that makes over 400HP. ET's and more importantly trap speeds are far more useful yard sticks to measure performance.

nearly what I thought. Car and Driver got 4.7 from a GXP G8. Camaro is very close in weight. And that's a great time!

GTO is 3725. SS is what? 3860 or so....not big weight difference between the 2.

An average driver, tune and intake will bring the V6 Camaro into the high 13s for sure.

Probably so. A couple weeks ago someone posted a dyno of the DI CTS and with just intake/exhaust it picked up something like 30hp.

    Here U go MR. HASKELL

D3 Concepts took a CTS 3.6L Di (always remember that a average loss in HP is 15% from Flywheel to Rear Wheels... hence a 304HP engine divided by 1.15= 264HP)

Baseline run: vehicle produced 263.0 rwhp and 241.7 lbs/tq.
Adding the new Corsa Exhaust power jumped to 281.1 rwhp and 255.3 lbs/tq. for an increase of 18.1 rwhp and 13.6 lbs/tq

Added their intake system and power jumped to 294.2 rwhp and 261.3 lbs/tq for an increase of 13.1 rwhp and 6.0 lbs/tq. Total gain in power was 31.2 rwhp and 19.6 lbs/tq. from just an intake and exhaust.

MEANING: That they took a 304HP (at the Fly) 3.6LDi and boosted it to 340HP with the Exhaust and Intake MOD.....

    Minor mathematical nit:
Losing 15% is not derived by dividing by 1.15. You want to multiply by .85.

    304 * .85 = 258.40

That aside -- that's impressive gains for this engine! I've not been too impressed by the 3.6DI so far, as cars with it seem to be about .5 second behind Lexus/BMW/Infiniti cars with their competitive engines, but maybe it's time to rethink. Part of the problem is that the GM cars carry some extra weight.

The Camaro V6 will come very close to the G37 in weight, however, so maybe it will be the one to break 100mph in the 1/4. If not stock, then certainly with these Corsa components.

What's key with the HFV6 with DI is the fact that it has a 11-1 c.r. and is running 87 octane fuel and making 300+ hp. There is plenty left on the table, especially with a forged crank and rods from the factory. I'll have mine 9-1 with a turbo please!
Its like the 60's all over again, just without the hippies!

Good point. I'd love to see a Cadillac version tuned for 91 octane. It'd be even better in an Alpha.

Does the SS Camaro have a 3.42 rear end? That's what my GTO has, well at least for now...3.91's coming soon.
How much more?....i have a 2004 GTO that weighs 3820..no driver..and that was weighed at Norwalk dragway....we don't need it any heavier then that...and it better be alot faster...because my 04 ran a 13:48@103 ....computer tune...auto...and nothing else..5.7 350 hp car
