The hood is carbon fiber, you don't see it unpainted.

One day you'll use your fancy new Corvette to pick up a woman. And, at some point, she'll ask why your roof doesn't match the rest of your car. Then you'll say "Oh, it's carbon fiber, so it's lighter and has a lower center of gravity", and she'll pretend she's interested and go find someone else.

It's not cool.

Are you sure? It's not an Audi, after all.

She'll probably be impressed that you like the carbon-fiber for reasons she doesn't understand. Just like she'll probably not understand why you have a 100,000 dollar sports car that can go over 200mph when the national speed limit is 65mph. She'll ask why does the nose hit the ground when you pull into driveways, she'll ask you does it only have two seats, why this, why that.
You just tell her: "Because its cool". And if she still doesn't get it then she's not the girl for you anyway.

Nice shots from Motortrend too:

I was always told to be on the lookout for the quiet gentlemen. They dont seem like much until you talk wiht them. I do think though this makes a great business case for a super Camaro. One that could be an actual competitor to the likes of the Shelby GT500 and even the Nissan GT-R. The last is but a WISH. Though with the way GM is swinging the bat a 540+ Camaro with lightweigth components could equal success. It also could bring some flare to the car before it hits American roads.

I guess some people dont know how to drive. I was reading the new Motortrend magazine and they put the ZO6 at 4.1 seconds 0-60, they must really be excited or really nieve. Then they go to praise the GT-R, though a great car the Corvette is like the same. One is a known king in Japan while the other a well reknown brute of Americana.

Re: 2009 Corvette ZR1 Superthread!!

It looks weird, but I think I have grown to like it. I guess we'll see when it comes out.

The Z06 is still quite a looker, in my books.
