Re: 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe REVEALED!
That is an improvement. I like the exterior. And the Interior is a huge improvement. The interior kinda looks like it came for the CSV's, but it still is better than the last Tahoe.

Im not crazy about the exterior. But the interior is fantastic. Im looking foward to seeing the other 900s.
I just hope they dont let up on their cars. The new 900s will help. But its the car market thats going to be the SUV/truck's crutch.

Re: 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe REVEALED!
I really like the exterior looks of the new Tahoe. I still think the current Tahoe looks sharp, especially in black, but these are definitely a welcome change.
The interior looks fantastic. I just hope the feel and perception of quality appeases the magazine critics. The only gripe I have is with the miniscule buttons on the stereo/nav unit. I presume the interior of the full-size pickups will be similar, and those buttons and knobs look way too small. I remember when the 2000 Silverado debuted, they touted the interior as being glove friendly (i.e. you can still change the volume, etc with a pair of work gloves on). But then again, function and ergonomics aren't as important today, how things look and feel score you more points in the eyes if the magazine writers. |

Re: 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe REVEALED!
I am overally, very impressed.
The Exterior styling is obviously evolutionary, however I think the new headlamps are great because of the circle lamps and the lack of a horizontal bar running through them. I very nice improvement. The Interior is a HUGE improvement. I have always been critical of GM's interiors, and I feel that I am justified in being so. This time, however, they got it right. I'm not expecting a luxurious interior, because it is a Chevy after all, but I am expecting quality materials and a good layout. This interior is that in spades. I do hope there is an option to go without the faux wood trim (like the Impala) It looks tasteful, but its just not MY taste. I'm am now REALLY looking forward to the Escalade and Yukon. I hope their interiors are completely differitiated from the Chevy. |

Re: 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe REVEALED!
Only a few disappointments.
1. The 3rd row seats, still, do not fold into the floor, like they do in the Expedition. 2. No IRS. 3. No V-6 Diesel (for even better fuel economy) hopefully we'll see something after the new 2007 regs take effect. The IRS part can be forgiven. You can certainly debate whether or not it really makes a difference in a vehicle of this size. However I think that having to remove the 2nd and 3rd row to get a perfectly flat loading surface might be a drawback. It will be interesting to see how this competes with the restyled Expedition. It too will have a 6 speed tranny and the pics of the interior suggest that it will be AT LEAST as nice as the Tahoe's interior. That said, if gas prices get down to 2 bucks or less (and there is a chance that they will) then I think GM has a hit on its hands. |

Re: 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe REVEALED!
I am so very impressed with the major changes they made with the chassis. Fully boxed frame - very happy GM went this route.
The exterior is very nice, but nothing fancy and the interior is a major change. Still very happy and surprised with the extent of the structural, chassis and design engineering that went into these 900's so far. Only disappointment, and like others, the drive train. The rush to get these out, hurt the platform wide 6-speeds. Maybe they can try and squeeze some power out of the Vortec's before they hit the lots. If not, still, 320 from the 5.3, is very acceptable - especially if that is on regular octane fuel. |

Re: 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe REVEALED!
I really like this. And while there are lots of facts about it, I'm currently interested in 3 things.
1. The interior obviously should be noted, but I'll focus this on the IP layout. Things look (from media-released hi-res images) to be nicely arranged in terms of controls; the info center buttons on the steering wheel have been moved to the right side of the cluster; 4WD control is on a nice chromed knob, etc. The fact that it looks more like the IP from the Impala speaks volumes. It's come quite a long way. The separate button for the Microheat heated wash system is unusual (usually it's tied into the washer control stalk), but should be a nice feature - if it holds up. 2. 2nd row seating options. Yes, the captains chairs and/or benches are nothing new. But what you can do with them is something unique. Should you have a folding bench, you can opt for a power-folding feature that folds the bench in its entirety at a touch of a button. Methinks that coupled with a power midgate (as previously seen with the XUV), this will show up in the Avalanche. Even the captain's chairs are more tailored to versatility. Rather than folding modestly flat to the floor, they now fold flat and tumble forward, vertically against the front row. The same motion as the 3rd row does before removal. 3. Rear Seat Audio. I've long detested these systems, because for the most part, they've never once delivered the flexibility they advertise. If both zones are listening to the same radio source (FM, AM, XM), then they must both listen to the same station. That renders the feature to be a moot point. With 900, not only is RSA standard on all Tahoe models, but it's finally circumvented that shortcoming. According to press releases, both zones can listen to the same source, but different channels. Egads. How long did it really take to engineer a second tuner module into the durn thing?

Re: 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe REVEALED!
Nice job with the whole package. The interior alone is a huge improvement. I like the way it looks and can say it definetly is more upscale now.

Re: 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe REVEALED!
Wow!!! I was expecting the typical GM tupperware interior.....and I'm pretty much speechless! That interior looks stunning. Nice low gloss quality approach, good two tone color choice. The exterior has a good aggressive stance. Overall I give this thing an "A". Now I actually have faith that the interior of the new CTS will be high quality! Great job GM!

Re: 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe REVEALED!
Anyone else want to take up this bet?
The Silverado will have the same or very similar front end, and the rest of the truck will be very similar to the current one. The interior will be identical as well. Maybe it's a result of my "rough" preference, but the dashboard seems a little to importish to me. It looks fine, but those gauges would be at home in a BMW. I'm an American vehicle buyer and I don't want to buy an American foreign car. I think it's a good evolution of the design. Not revolutionary in any way. Gas prices can't help the sales at this point. |
