I guess you're right. I hadn't committed all his numbers to memory because a lot of them just seemed way off. I remembered 355 was there for the 5.3L, which ended up on the 6.0L.

Re: 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe REVEALED!

The interior looks pretty good, but there are two things that got to me:

1) The steering wheel could have looked better. It looks sort of on the econo-car design side.

2) The HVAC should have designed to be more integrated with the rest of the center console. The black retangular box look is exactly what the LaCrosse messed up on too.

Re: 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe REVEALED!

I've been looking for information on the "hybrid" powertrains supposedly going to be offered in these 900's, but haven't seen anything yet. Have I just been looking in the wrong places?

6.2L aluminum block (L92) with variable valve timing, capable of 380 and 400 horsepower (283 kw to 298 kw)*

A new Hydra-Matic 6L80 six-speed automatic transmission is matched with the 6.2L engine.

This means same old 4 speeds with the rest. Big dissapointment. GM's bean counters left the interior alone and swarmed over powertrain. I was really hoping for 6 speeds on everything except the 4.8L The media will not overlook GM's obsession with 4 speeds. GM needed to knock this out of the park - the interior looks like a homerun, powertrain is a double at best.

James - you suck.
whats with the iron/alumimum choices?

Well one would assume that the Cast-Iron choices are for HD versions. Maybe not of the Tahoe, but for the Sierra/Silverado twins.

Guys weather James had the right info or not it did get everyone REALLY INTERESTED. The HD may not get the SFA, oh well I'll still get one.
I DO NOT like the exterior that much (I hope it'll grow on me) and that HVAC thig is just silly IMO.

Re: 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe REVEALED!

Why isnt anyone stating the obvious? This thing is going to be thirsty, and with gas prices as high as they are today, whos gonna want that thing? I now have 3 friends who have sold their SUV's for more efficient, and actually faster vehicles. Yea i hate SUV's in the first place but am I wrong here?
