why would they want to do that? The LX470 is ugly

your saying the new tahoe looks like the impalas?

the only thing similar about them is the wood

Right on Snafu SS! Pagemaster, if you want Chevy to design interiors which look similar to that of the F-150, go buy an F-150. It's not the Ford Tahoe, its the Chevrolet Tahoe! Your pessimism of GM is pretty repeditive.

Lets see the Lexus SUV's aganist the Tahoe...

Toyota SUV

New Chevy SUV

Land Rover

You have to admit, that this Chevy is above toyota in fit and finish..... but in the same price range as a loaded SR5 4 runner whose photo is shown, and though interior materials do not compare to the Lexus, is on par with the LR3

The design is truly contempary american, simple in its layout, elegant in execution...

Most importantly, GM has with these new vehicles eliminated the common excuse that the interior sucks in american cars

Wow! GM's new switchgear puts Land Rover's to shame.

The Tahoe is above the Lexus SUV in fit and finsih? That is hilarious. It is about the same as the Lexus SUV in terms of fit. Finish is of a higher grade in the Lexus.

Tell me, how can fake wood be of higher grade finish than real wood in the Lexus? When you look at the wood in the Lexus then the wood in the Chevy, you notice a dramatic difference.

Tough times are ahead. A brand new car is not in the cards. My new (to me) 16 year old Accord serves the purpose extremely well. And it's paid off!

Re: 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe REVEALED!

Remember guys, the Tahoe is the LEAST luxurious GMT-900 SUV. Next comes the Yukon, then the Denali, and finally......drum roll please........the ESCALADE!

The Tahoe must be that **************** good to be compared to the LX470.

He said it was above the Toyota in fit and finish, not the Lexus. He specifically says that the Lexus has better interior materisl (he says the Chevy's "do not compare"). The fact that you can say that a Chevy is in the same realm as a Lexus in fit speaks volumes for what GM has been doing lately.

Re: 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe REVEALED!

Wow. This has left me speechless. GM has guranteed at least one of these bought by my family. I didn't mind the old exterior, it was just the interior that bothered me so much. This I love, now which engine. Do we know what all will be offered? 5.3..Hybrid?..Diesel? Jesus, I can't wait.
