Re: 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe REVEALED!

The interior also looks just okay, your standards are way too low if you just compare it to the previous model. It should be on par, if not better than the competition. That's how a troubled company like GM regains market share, and customers.

Media pictures always make things look good, but in person can be another story, so can actually touching it. Lexus and VW have benchmark SUV interiors, I doubt even the Escalade will be in the same league as them inside. We'll see.

As opposed to this head-turner? Which, by the way, they've sold about a gazillion of.

It debuted years ago, my expectation of vehicles concieved today is much higher than of old ones. I would like think it reflect current trends instead of mirroring trends from nearly ten years ago.

It also debuted when fuel was still considered cheap, and when huge SUVs were a hot bandwagon. None of that is really true anymore, it looks like GM didn't get the memo and that's sad.

I strongly disagree with this one. Please tell me what competition (to the Tahoe) has a better interior? Actaully, I think the media pictures make this interior look worse than the actual thing. Look at the pic with Lutz in the driver's seat- the interior looks even better in that pic, and its just a normal non-studio pic!

Yep, it debuted many many years ago, yet they still sold, what, almost 200,000 Tahoes alone last year? It's possible that not everyone wants "groundbreaking" design. Some people may prefer things like utility, reliability, and an understated style.

They sell all of those units and they still lose US share. Amazing.

Toyota does all of those things you mentioned better than GM too, and they don't have to use spiffs and programs like the employee price to move their wares. Things will be even worse when they decide not to pull any punches and redesign the Sequoia or come out with something else and whatever it is will have a competent hybrid model to help reduce the sting of $3 per gallon gas. What's GM's salve? It sure isn't the styling. Maybe you should have used the same arguments against Cadillac implementing radical styling saying people might prefer something boring and ugly.

The Tahoe is another "new" GM people have been talking about, but this has been going on for years. Nearly everything new GM has been coming out with isn't class leading, groundbreaking, inovative or stylish.

More and more, I'm convinced "new" GM is still the same old GM, and that they'll always be behind the foreign competition.

Re: 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe REVEALED!

GM's save will be hybrids, too... And their full-sizers already get better mileage than Toyota's. I don't know why you are already saying that some unknown future Toyota product will have better styling than the new GMT-900s.

A luxury brand can be more successful with radical styling than a bread and butter brand that's hoping to sell over a hundred thousand units of their model each year.

That being said, I'm not sure what makes the Tahoe conservative or simple. It looks pretty **************** good to me. The current Tahoe is already class leading, and the new one improves on that. Look at that interior and tell me its the old GM.

GM's next gen fullsizers will still have 4 speeds. What a joke. The new DTS still has a 4 speed. Where are the side airbags on the Sierra and Silverado not to mention the stability control offered on the Tundra and Tacoma.

EVERY new redesigned car should have a 5 speed if introduced after model year 2004. The Canyon, what a joke. $40K canadian for an I5 crew cab.

Employee price discount.........what a joke GM is..

The next Tahoe interior is nice. However, I have sat in the Impala and looks similar and if that is the case, well GM could of done a bit better. Maybe look at the LX470 interior or F150 for design direction.

The interior with Lutz looks a little cramped IMO.

The only thing that resembles the Impala is the center stack! The rest does not resemble the Tahoe interior at all. Not to mention that the materials in the Tahoe interior seem to be much better than the Impala's (as they should).

While the F-150 design is nice, just about every piece of plastic in that interior is hard as a rock- magazines have taken note of that as well.

I asked for someone to tell me what TAHOE competitor has a better interior. The LX470 nor the F-150 compete with the Tahoe.

Rephrase that pal. SOME of the GMT-900's have 4-speeds. Like I've said before, there are next to no regular consumer than even know how many gears their vehicle has.

Give the Silverado and Sierra a few months (until the 900's arrive) and they will have Stabilitrac, Head-Curtain airbags, and everything else you can think of.

You sure that the Employee Discount was a joke? A program that triggered well over a million car sales in 3 months? Riighhhtt... It was a real joke.

Man, are you dense. Of course you could use the same argument regarding Cadillac's styling. Some people like radical styling, some people don't. Crazy concept, I know, but try to wrap your head around it. Anyway we get it, you don't like the Tahoe. That's great, so don't buy one. I think it looks awesome and I plan on buying one. As for Toyota, why are you sticking up for the Sequoia? It's boring, its not hybrid, and you have no idea what the next one will be like. The Tahoe will have a hybrid option before the Sequoia. And Toyota's track record with styling shouldn't lead anyone to believe their next generation products will have the "radical" and "groundbreaking" style you love so much.

Are you saying the interior of the impala sucks? Its better than Camry's or the new avalon with silver metalic plastics
the car is aso quiter and offers a firmer ride.. I drive it back to back with Avalon Accord and Maxima
