Quality and Efficiency is from the good workers on the line. I don't hate managment and I am not trying to put them down. I really think that there are to many Chiefs, Too many steps of leadership. I will say I have seen them cut out some of the salary, I think they could cut more and you won't notice it in the quality or the effieciency of the product.

I just wish my time at GM would have ended in better times.

AGAIN, GUILTY OF MURDER...IN THE FIRST DEGREE!!!

It is just this type of inflamatory, pontificating, hyperbole that kills any degree of credibility that BM has with me.
Sorry, BM, I think you have some good ideas, but you annoy me as a person, and I can't get past that. I think I'll go back to skipping your posts, it is better for my blood pressure.

if you were a salaried retiree who lost over 90% of their value in GM stock, no longer receive a dividend, and are uninsurable and unable to afford meds, odds are you'd feel differently. some of the most loyal people in the world are now turning against GM for what they perceive as broken promises. had the incompetent, arrogant, insulated, isolated, self serving nitwits listened, GM would be riding high as opposed to blaming everything and everybody else. people would not be losing their benefits and franchises would actually be worth something.

so you go ahead and ignore my posts, no sweat here. just don't complain when they come for your job and benefits next.

Wow. Now you are just picking and choosing what to add to your agenda. Look up and tell me what other corps offer such extensive insurance package. Also read into the report a little more, seems you didn't get the whole point of the cuts. If they need insurance that badly they can get it for the additional pension salary paid out by GM.

what good is $300 pension bump when you're uninsurable?

these folks were "promised" these benefits from the time years ago when they hired in, throughout their careers, and well into retirement. it's totally the fault of a failed management that they are now left out in the cold.

Which again leads me to think you haven't read the whole release. Where it specifically states "some exceptions apply".

we'll see. my friend with the heart condition received a letter without any reference to "exception". more likely to apply to retired exec and group VPs than uninsurable. hopefully not the case.
