Two GM cars in Stuff Magazine's "Killer Convertibles"

From the June 2007 issue of Stuff. I couldn't find an online article, so I'll just post the whole thing here. I think they need a new writer by the way, whoever wrote this is about as funny as my Uncle Ed, who isn't funny.

1. 2007 Indianapolis 500 Pace Car Corvette Convertible ($68,245)

Chevy is making 500 replicas of this year's atomic-orange pace car available to the public, complete with Indy-embroidered seats and sterling-silver split-spoke wheels.
Top-Down Tune: "Candle in the Wind" by Elton John. That's what you'll look like when you zoom by. (A candle in the wind, not Elton.)

2. 2007 Saturn Sky Red Line ($29,025)

The Sky was already sexy, but now it's hotter than a Jessica Alba pool party. The Sky Red Line boasts an Ecotec turbocharged 2.0-liter engine that churns out 260 horsepower and purrs while doing it. Slap some wings on this roadster and prepare for liftoff.
Top-Down Tune: "Cherry Pie" by Warrant. It looks so good, it'll make a grown man cry.

3. 2008 Chrysler Sebring Convertible (Price TBD)

With enough power and styling to impress your coworkers but enough class not to offend stuffy country club members, the redesigned Sebring is the foursome's best friend. That's a golfing foursome, perv.
Top-Down Tune: "No More Mr. Nice Guy" by Alice Cooper. Salute the king of badass golfers while becoming one.

4. Aston Martin V8 Vantage Roadster ($126,400)

Not everyone can be James Bond, but at least you can cruise like him. The new Vantage Roadster has all the muscle, speed and looks you'll ever need, and you don't have to pay lip service to Judi Dench to drive it.
Top-Down Tune: "Sympathy for the Devil" by the Rolling Stones. It's decadent! It's British! It's perfect!

5. 2007 Mazda MX-5 Miata Power Retractable Hardtop ($24,945)

The itty-bitty, rear-wheel-drive Mazda MX-5 has a brand-new power hardtop that opens and closes at the press of a button. Laziness has never been cooler.
Top-Down Tune: "To Be with You" by Mr. Big. This early '90s monster ballad will remind you of when you first fell in love with a Miata.

6. 2007 Volkswagen Eos ($27,990)

This peppy, 200-horsepower VW convertible is named after the Greek goddess of dawn, and it's so advanced you'll think it was made by the gods of Mt. Olympus, not the humans of Wolfsburg, Germany.
Top-Down Tune: "Flathead" by the Fratellis. You need something trendy to roll in a VW, and this tune was in an iPod ad. Bingo!

7. Mercedes-Benz Ocean Drive Concept (Priceless)

This drool-worthy drop-top is more than 17 feet long and sports a beefy 510-horsepower twin-turbo V-12 engine. But hands off: The one-of-a-kind ride is for show only. [Sniff]
Top-Down Tune: "Ridin'" by Chamillionaire. If you're in this car, you'd better have a lawyer.

Agreed, but I can't fault his top two choices. 4 and 5 are also good ones, but I'm not sure I'd go with a Sebring Convertible.

And sadly during the rain delay of the Indy 500, the Vette was left with the top down. Poor Vette.

I thought the same thing. When I think of Sebring I think "rental car".

How anyone can appreciate the new Sebring is beyond me.

Re: Two GM cars in Stuff Magazine's "Killer Convertibles"

Remember the Sebring has a lot of appeal with the 50+ crowd. It's the kind of car a 55 yo female real estate agent would drive! I bet if Mike Brady was still alive, he'd drive a Sebring Convertible!!
