Top Gear's Chris Evans Was So Mad He Made A Producer Cry: Report

We’ve already heard about how much of a ****-show the new Top Gear seems to be, particularly because of the allegedly temperamental attitude of the main host, Chris Evans. Well, now thanks to The Sun, more reports of Chris Evans being a bit of a tyrant are flowing in.

According to The Sun’s anonymous BBC staffers, Evans behaves even worse than his predecessor, the always-controversial Jeremy Clarkson. That’s quite a feat, considering Clarkson has been kicked out of entire countries and even got canned for punching a dude in the face over some food.

But yep, it seems Evans is having some hissy-fits, in part because he’s trying to keep his job as a radio host at the same time as being host for Top Gear:

The Sun via Jalopnik said:
Evans, 50, has upset staff at BBC Radio 2 as he struggles to balance his TV role with his hit breakfast show... And The Sun can reveal his radio backroom team are becoming increasingly concerned about his outbursts and diva-style behaviour.

Jeremy had a big ego and was a bit of an ass, but there's any truth to Evans' diva-ness, I suppose he's lookin' pretty good right now.

As an aside, there is supposedly some tension with Matt LeBlanc and Chris Evans. Seems LeBlanc did some donuts in Mustang in front of/near a British war memorial. Evans took it to heart and had some choice words to say.

The writer can make excuses for the guy if he wishes, but acting an ass is still acting an ass.

There was a time when someone on the set, like Robert Mitchum or John Wayne, would escort a richardhead like Evans out to the back of the lot and administer a 5-minute tune-up.

I agree. An ass is an ass.

I would have loved to have seen some of those tune ups. Of course, the tabloids really weren't as big of thing then as they are now.

I read a similar story somewhere else. If true, what a complete ponce.

He can console himself in his millions, Billie Piper, and his fancy Ferrari collection. He shouldn't treat his staff that way.

Fired Top Gear Producer Reveals Just How Lazy The New Hosts Really Are
by Jay Traugott
Carbuzz.com

Apparently new Top Gear host Chris Evans doesn’t work many hours on the show, so claims a Yahoo! UK report from earlier this week. However, an additional source has come forward claiming another new host works even less. Care to take a guess who? That’d be Matt LeBlanc. According to a now former Top Gear producer who was let go by the BBC, LeBlanc doesn’t even arrive to the studio or location until minutes before filming is set to begin. In fact, his call time is 12:30 pm in order to accommodate his habit of sleeping all morning.
