Top 10 Most Extreme Luxury Sedans of 2007

Amazing. Five years ago, would anyone have guessed Cadillac would have 2 of the top 10?

http://www.egmcartech.com/2007/02/16...edans-of-2007/

We can’t say it better than Joseph Phillippi, a former automotive financial analyst when he told Forbes: “Clearly these cars are putting more horsepower to the ground than one would ever think was normal for a luxury sedan. These are Ferraris with four doors and a trunk.”

...

Top 10 Most Extreme Luxury Sedans of 2007:
10. Audi S8: 450 hp
9. Jaguar XJR: 420 hp
8. Chrysler 300C SRT-8: 425 hp
7. Cadillac STS-V: 460 hp
6. Audi RS4: 414 hp
5. Cadillac CTS-V: 400 hp
4. Mercedes-Benz CLS 63 AMG: 507 hp
3. Mercedes-Benz S65 AMG: 603 hp
2. BMW M5: 500 hp
1. Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG: 507 hp

Why would you put the Chrysler 300C SRT8 in there? It has a cheap interior and has terrible handling. Its a budget car. They should of put the HSV E-Series Senator Signature in there instead of the Chrysler.

Yah, I know we have to wait 2 years, but it's still nice to think about it...

Re: Top 10 Most Extreme Luxury Sedans of 2007

This list is bogus as there are no Toyota vehicles on it.

We know Toyota makes tons of monsters. After all, their engines lead the world in torque and horsepower. Their powertrains are second to none and they've got the most beautifully styled, non-cookie cutter cars to match.

Phuey on this list. We all know that all ten should be Toyotas because Toyota is the greatest thing since sliced bread. Toyota never makes mistakes. Toyota. Toyota. Toyota.

Due to the fact that this list is driven by horsepower and not by reality, and drawn up by children - who do not even know the definition of the word "luxury"...

Agreed. Plus all those 100 mpg ratings are just a bonus on top of all that performance.

Re: Top 10 Most Extreme Luxury Sedans of 2007

I have driven the "regular" 300C with Hemi (along with its Magnum and Charger sisters) and would never describe the handling as terrible! Interior "cheapness" seems to be subjective, these days. The basic 300, which competes against popularly priced, family sedans and entry-level luxury sedans has an interior which seems on par with its class. The SRT-8 300C is no more of a budget car than the HSV. Both cars represent top of the line models, of mid-level RWD sedans. I also think that this list is also focused on cars which are on sale in the US market. Maybe next year, the Pontiac G8 GT will represent for Aussie and Holden!
