It's not just full size units...

Re: The Summer Of Pickup Problems
Well the Canyon and Colorado do not suprise me as having a lot of backed up inventory. That product is about as appealing as the Mini-vans GM produces. There is nothing innovative about them and for the cost to own them you might as well just get a Full Size pickup. Those trucks need to be priced no higher than the mid-20s and start in the low teens.

Re: The Summer Of Pickup Problems
GMT355's needs a lower price, spruced up dash, and optional V8.
I'm not worried about the fullsize trucks since the GMT900's come out this fall. THe Avalanche # is for 800 and 900 trucks. I wonder what the 900's are at. |

Interesting how Toyota will not release any numbers.

It's because Toyota is perfect and can do no wrong. The 355's styling is pretty good but the rest of the truck hasn't aged so well so i'm not surprised at their lack of sales. And the 2007's displacement enlargement isn't nearly enough to overcome these trucks shortcomings, especially if mileage goes down. |

Re: The Summer Of Pickup Problems
Does anyone know what mid size SUV's are at? I'm wondering what the TB/Envoy/Rainier are sitting at.
Also, the rebates/incentives have already started on GMT-800 SUV's so I'm sure they'll start on the pick ups soon. |

Re: The Summer Of Pickup Problems
Silverado isn't that bad at a 100 for a 6+ yr old truck. Especially with the new model a few months away.
If i were dodge i'd be pretty worried with so much on the lot, especially with a new Tundra, Silverado, & Sierra this fall. |

Hedging on $30K for a crew cab with a sunroof and leather is a wee bit too much. For the top end model I would gladly pay $25K. As a whole, the "Mid-Sized" Trucks are about $5K over priced. Another thing that erks me about the trucks are the HP ratings. Yeah yeah I know that they are getting increased for the next model year, but I think that really hurt GM out of the gate with these S-10/Sonoma replacements. I don't care if the top engine is an I-5 or a V6, just as long as it has the guts and balls to get me to where I need with pep and power.
