Wow, big gains for the Sierra and Colorado. Titan is still scraping the bottom.

The full size and mid size GM pick ups are still #1. Ranger is a has been. Out powerd, out designed, out flanked, and just out done by everything. Poor gas milage, poor quality, and low power. Its the Taurus of the mid size pick ups.

Re: Sales Figures Top 10 PickupsYear to Date, August 2005
Nissan may have stated that to the press - but i highly doubt they would have spent all that time, money, engineering man hours and a factory to sell 8000 Titans a month when Ford and GM are selling 10X that per month.
It's a flop - but of course no Japanese models are ever reported as "flops" in the press - it's just cool to bash GM and Ford in the press. |

Maybe Ford and GM sell more trucks than Nissan because -- oh, I don't know -- they have a much greater amount of configurations?? Why do people always seem to forget this when looking at sales numbers?

its rather a surprise to find that the "crap, underpowered, undersized, flimsily built ricer trucks are showing such +ve increases in sales; far greater than the legendary trucks form Ford and Chrysler!
not bad; not bad at all! |

Re: Sales Figures Top 10 PickupsYear to Date, August 2005
I just looked at the Dodge Ram numbers and I'm a little surprised. I see tons of Rams everywhere so I had this assumption that sales would be right up behind the F-150 and Silverado but I guess that's not the case. I know the Honda Ridgeline is fairly new still but I hope to never see it on the top 10 in future years.
