The only one that I long for is the Oldest. The Defender, followed by a Z4, I drove a Z3 2.8L. Fun Chick Car, that's just a bit more manly than a Miata.
The problem with the Phaeton is that from a quick glance, it was indistinguishable from a Passat. Could have been the world's best vehicle, but with looks that were so anonymous, it always had an uphill battle for recognition. To put it another way: who is going to spend £70,000 on a vehicle that going to be mistaken by everyone for a run-of-the-mill, on-every-corner, £25,000 Passat?
The answer in the UK at least is nobody, and their resale values are horrible. You can pick up late model, low milage examples in the UK for peanuts. They are very popular for airport taxis.
Honda made a GM type blunder: Sell a hot pocket rocket as a gas saving hybrid? Like the original CRX (which I owned once) the CR-Z needed a turbo VTEC. Leave the hybrids to the family models.
I'll miss the Dart, almost bought one last year but they wanted a ridiculous amount for it...maybe because they knew it wouldn't be sticking around :/
