It is back to $80.

Plus it doesn't translate, I am still paying $3.45 at the pump here in the state. Everyone in the business are just greedy pigs. Lets not talk about November when OPEC get back together to try to force the price back up.

Yeah really. I dont understand how gas prices are still so high even after the price of oil has gone way down, and the demand for gasoline is down. They act like we have such a shortage, and yet none of the gas stations ever run out.

For people who think the Volt won't sell at $40,000... yeah right. At the very least people are tired of getting jerked around by oil companies, and that alone will make the Volt very desirable.

Don't worry it will be $2.50 by the election.

Look at what is being traded: oil futures. We'll see what gas prices will be in November when trading ends on the 21st.

Good news for a company looking to launch a new performance car in about 4 months.

Oh, and on a side note....now don't we all feel foolish for wasting 6 months with the doom and gloom $6/gallon by Christmas talk....

LOL! But we still need to invest in domestic drilling and alternative energy solutions. Majority of the OPEC nations still don't like us... unless the Chosen One gets elected, then we'll be the most popular kid in the sandbox and everyone will want to be our friend and invite us to all the parties...

Re: Oil futures trading at $78 -- yes $78 (10/10/08)

They want to maximize profits so there is no use in bringing gas down 30 cent at a time. Most people are happy to see it go down a nickle.

BTW - oil now at $77...now at $78 again...

Didn't that Suburban have the new 4.5L diesel in it? It is probably more fuel efficient than the current ones by a bit. You better buy 3.
