One interesting note:

Four cylinder Saturn Vue will require Premium fuel to achieve 19/26-Auto.

Six cylinder Saturn Vue okay with Regular fuel to achieve 16/24-Auto.

I noticed the HHR 2.4 liter uses premium too.

Not really - automatics have gotten pretty good. I have heard that manuals because of certain shift requirements - actually burn more fuel between shifts than an automatic. Go figure.

The Sonata does quite well under the new rating.

The new 2.4L 158HP Scion xB gets 22/28 for both auto and manual running on regular 87.

Compared to:

On a related note, since the new xB uses the Camry's 2.4L... I guess it is safe to assume the 2008 i4 Camry will get about 22/28 as well.

Is it just me, or is 2008 not there? All I see is 1985-2007.

The Lexus LS600h is cheaper to fuel than a Legacy GT awd, Taurus awd, Avenger awd, and the front drive LaCrosse 3.6. GM needs a performance hybrid. The Escape hybrid has impressive numbers too.

What sucks for GM is that the only Impala even on there is the 5.3 and you have to scroll down to find that out. I could see lots of people thinking that horrid mileage was with the base engine

There's lots of questionable content on that site right now.

I should hope not, else we can safely assume the EPA isn't taking aerodynamics into account.

Re: Official 2008 EPA MPG Info: Partial Listing Now Available

Look at gasoline Uplander vs. E85 Uplander:

Gas: 16/23 or 19 combined
E85: 12/17 or 14 combined

5 mile per gallon seems like a huge price to pay to drive on E85.
