Hmm that's odd because my brother in laws camry and my father in laws oddesey did not last to 300,000 miles.

For that matter, both of their 4-speed transmissions blew before 100,000 miles.

Stop with the generalizations.

And of course because GM gets the right vehicle available at the right time no one cares, but tell them there is a new SUV coming and way too many people on this site will be rioting in the streets.

Apparently it is not possible to give GM credit.

I love the clean look of my Max and I think the Altima is a fine looking car. And you can get them with a 6 speed manual which GM won't build. It's funny for any GM fan to bash the looks of cars when you look at the GM line. Impala, old Malibu, G6, they are all hideous. The one car with clean lines is the G8.

Cadillac CTS is ok, hmm can't think of another good looking GM sedan. Oh, there's one Buick, Lacrosse isn't that bad. I'd just never buy a Buick

So a smaller G8, sedan, with a manual, and I'll look seriously at it. ~270HP DOHC motor cause I'm tired of worn out, oil leaking 3 series motors (3.1, 3.4, etc) About $30K or so with a beautiful ERGONOMIC interior.

BTW: GM doesn't make anything TODAY that comes close to my 5 year old car. HID's, 6 speed manual, HLSD, 7000 RPM DOHC motor. VQ motor has been on Ward's 10 best engines every year of the award (15 years?)

Right time? Chevy needed a car like the Malibu years ago.

Likewise the fleet of CUVs they showed off would have been great products 5 years ago, when the Highlander, MDX, RX and so on were hitting the market. Now with high fuel prices and the segment cooling down, who knows?

I'll give them credit for the products, but the market timing is still way off.
