Re: LEAKED! Lacrosse, Equinox, Cruze, and SRX!

Kinda junky pictures, but I suppose you take what you can get. At least they are not camoed. The Buick looks a bit plain. I kinda like what I see in the SRX. If you follow the link, there is another link to a junky pic of the CTS wagon. From what I can make out, I reallly like it.

Actually, the Cruze does bring back memories of the SS concept - more than the new Malibu ever did.

Not exactly leaked when these shots are shown during the broadcast purposely. Its too bad many of these pics don't do the vehicles justice, especially the Cruze.

Re: LEAKED! Lacrosse, Equinox, Cruze, and SRX!

I like them. They are looking a bit derivative from one another (or perhaps it's just the quality of the pics themselves), but I certainly like them.

Will reserve final judgement when I see clearer pics and interiors.

I saw the press conference. Those aren't "shops".
Does the back end of the Cruze look like a Chrysler Sebring?

Re: LEAKED! Lacrosse, Equinox, Cruze, and SRX!

I never thought id say it, but GM is going bankrupt. They're bringing in subpar A-class cars, keeping the cobalt, bringing in bad crossovers in a crowded market and by 2010 they will have to "Restructure" whatever the hell that is these days. Screw GM I'm done looking at GM cars, really what the hell was Wagoner thinking?

Re: LEAKED! Lacrosse, Equinox, Cruze, and SRX!

The Buick looks large and dull... that picture isn't flattering at all.

Actually none of those pictures look very good... though I suspect all of those vehicles will be quite nice.

What I love is that there are three small CUVs coming to market around the same time... two of which are aiming for exactly the same customer (Caddy and Saab)! And the Equniox will target the Terrain and Vue as its closest competitors! Excellent!

I don't know why they didn't take the exisitng Chevrolet Captiva design and build it in the US (or Canada, at CAMI) as the next Equinox. This new one looks just as nice, but the current one already exists and would have saved a bundle in development. Saw two yesterday and they're very nice and tidy looking... more attractive than the Antara / Vue to my eyes.

The SRX looks good.

That photo of the Cruze interior is promising.

Re: LEAKED! Lacrosse, Equinox, Cruze, and SRX!

Cruze looks awesome! 10 times better than I thought it would. WE NEED THIS NOW GM!!

SRX, it's nice but I'm not overwhelmed or awed by it.

Equinox, just OK, don't know what I was expecting really.

9-4X, nope. I'm surprised, in a bad way.

Invicta/Lacrosse, It's nice, hope it does well, would have awed had it been the concept.

That's it?!! That's all GM is going to show to stem the tide of bad news/high gas prices? AND we have to wait for the Cruze? Am I missing something here? The crossovers are not what people want right now GM!! Fuel-efficient cars are! Sheesh!!

Re: LEAKED! Lacrosse, Equinox, Cruze, and SRX!

Yeah thought about this again... why are there three new crossovers and only one new small car? If anything they should have done two crossovers and two small cars... perhaps a Pontiac version? If it makes sense to have a Pontiac Aveo-clone, how on earth does it not make sense to have a new G5? I don't care if small CUVs are more efficient than big ones... GM needs proper small cars. If Pontiac is going to hang around it needs product... the Vue should be the Equinox and Pontiac should be getting a new G5 based on the Cruze.

If not development should be done on a Cruze coupe and/or wagon/hatch instead of a 5th small CUV for GM.

Yes the Captiva would have been a good alternative to the girlish Vue. I think we need to mount a takeover. Yes, there are too many crossovers competing for the same customer.

And yet the can the Insignia. Honestly, management is in panic mode, and is retreating to the past, just as Ford did when they brought out the "restyled" Focus.

But Ford has gotten past the panic mode. Whether that happens for GM remains to be seen.

Re: LEAKED! Lacrosse, Equinox, Cruze, and SRX!

The Cruze is not bad. Buick OK. But puuuuleeeez can we close the door on the flying door stop school of design? I'm sick of the four wheeled cheese wedges. You know how people used to say "that car looks like it's going 100 mph sitting at the curb"? Wedge shaped cars look like they're in panic stop mode when they're going 100 mph. They look like a girl with a beautiful face that when she stands up has an enormous butt. Please designers, make the back end propotional with the front.
And Pontiac designers I get your signature split grill theme but you can go horizontal with it! Look at your '60s designs. Your present vertical buck tooth grills stink!
OK I took a pill and the pains have abated.

Re: LEAKED! Lacrosse, Equinox, Cruze, and SRX!

this "LEAK" may have happened to stop investors freaking out

the buick is nothing as nice as the concept, proportions are off, they should have tried to keep it as striking as the concept version,
it looks like it has smaller wheels etc and sits higher and the roof is taller etc, what a shame!
the caddy looks good,
that saab is not good!

Re: LEAKED! Lacrosse, Equinox, Cruze, and SRX!

Keep in mind GM press photos suck !
I think the Cruze kicks ass even in this shot!
Too bad they said I can't buy one anymore.2010 is too far away for this one.
just my opinion.

Re: LEAKED! Lacrosse, Equinox, Cruze, and SRX!

All I have to say is that we have the Invicta concept in our showroom right now for our grand opening event Thursday that GM is throwing a lot of effort into with us, and that picture looks BORING compared to what we are looking at today. I took pics with my phone, but they wont show anything more than what is on the internet from the shows already. REALLY disappointed, but then again, this IS GM we're talking about, so no surprise...
