London Motor Products
MacMaster Chev
both safe
Shock news just in:
Brian Finch (londons biggest nameplate) to be wound down in 4 months!
Also gone Dale Downies
That leaves LMP as the SOLE PBG left standing in London

They just said on the radio: Belanger, Donnelly, Hinton, McNeil and Turpin.
If it's true, both Donnelly and Turpin will be a major loss. Donnelly has probably the largest volume parts business in the region and Turpin was once the gold standard in customer satisfaction and how to treat people in for sales and service with class and dignity.

I agree. In my experience Turpin had the best BPG service in the region. At one time they were even a Time Quality Dealer Award recipient. But I had heard that their CSI numbers have dropped since moving to Kanata. It seems that people were unhappy with their move away from their previous central location and that this unhappiness was bleeding into their CSI numbers.
I had also heard that GM has been looking at more than CSI for this process. Things like sales of GMPP as opposed to third party warranties, and participation in the Optimum used car program, were said to be considerations.

I do find the Palladium address is a bit far for those of us who were used to Carling, but I took the Enclave into the Laperriere location for most of the servicing and only headed to Kanata twice when I happened to be out there and only if I don't have to head back into town. Traffic from out there is brutal. I don't like the fact the Senators play out there. The arena should have been built at Lebreton Flats. But let's not digress.

I have contacts in the dealers in GTA and was able to talk to some of them that actulay work at all these dealers and they confirmed when I talk to them,a sales rep even started to send his resume to other dealers and not waiting for the end when they say we are closed for good, but whne you call them and asked about if they are in business they will all say yea they are, but who going to say that they are getting axed making money is more important than not making any money now. but I can say all these dealers are 100% confirmed and waiting to hear about more and when I do I will post them
Only Dealer in Calgary I have heard for sure is OK and still moving forward is Shaw GMC Buick. This is a surprise to me but what ever.
Only out of town dealer in south central Alberta I have heard of that got axed is Three Hills Motors. They are fairly bitter about it as well so I expect that they will probably pursue some other make. Since Ford or Chrysler are not in that area perhaps they should go after a Ford dealer.
So much for the small town dealers being safe in Canada.
