I have never before commented on the subject of the Humberview group's involvement with Old Mill and never did prior to "Spooled" posting information that is clearly flawed and is available in the public domain!

What is your motivation in keeping erroneous postings unchallenged here?

This is my first post because I felt a need to chime in on this Old Mill / Eastside thing after reading the posts here. I worked for Lou many moons ago and I can confirm that anything he says (or writes for that matter) should be taken with a grain of salt. When I worked there I was treated with complete disregard. I left that mess to go to Trillium Pontiac only to find the exact same from the owner there (L.H.) Now I work for Ford and have been for the last 8 years and couldn't be happier. I still have many friends at those old dealers and I feel very badly for them and their families.

Also, GM upper management and the UAW created this mess, why is it that the dealers take the hit??!!

I would have agree with progtp, they got that whole dealer all rapped up Lou is known for doing such things like that, telling his people everything is ok when really its not. Sources told me on that big day when deaelrs got their letters, Lou had his head in his hands worried stiff.

I find this whole "charade" being put on by Old Mill and Eastside to be quite interesting.

I have personally read the letter that Lou sent out to his employees the day after the news from GM and apart from the horrible spelling and punctuation..it does nothing instill much confidence that Eastside will be around as a GM dealer much longer. The letter never once says that they are staying on as a GM dealer. It basically talks about the fact that Lou will not let his dealership die...even if that means switching to another manufacturer. So if you read between the lines it sounds like they did get the "bad" letter and all he is doing now is scrambling to see what he can do without the GM franchise.

As far as Old Mill, I have been told by SEVERAL reliable sources that they indeed are going to lose the franchise. It's funny...if you look at the employment ads on the TADA you can see ads for Old Mill trying to hire a Used Car Manager, a Business Manager as well as salesstaff. Does this not make you think that the employees are already starting to "jump ship"?

The only reason I had to say something about this is because I don't think that misleading their employees about staying open is a very fair or noble thing to do to these people...they have families who rely on these jobs for survival, but from the things I've heard about Lou and his cronies...it's not surprising!

I have to agree with randman, I worked their years ago as well, and it was a nut house, I can't believe the way the place is managed, I hear now they have the parts manager running service. Poor guy their going to wrench the crap out of him too. I wonder if that Kosta character is still their, the guy who claims he's a shopforeman.

I have a original copy of the good letter from GM so DianePar or someone from Old Mill send that letter and I can see if they are safe or not. Otherwise my sources have told me they didn't get the good letter. So anyone fro oldmill send me a copy your letter of post the letter on this site that you got and put this all to rest.

Apparently Diane hasn't shown her face around the dealer for a couple months now, I wonder why? and old mill is hiring like mad, so that goes to show that every everyone is jumping ship. Winston the sales manager apparently quit as well, and apparently they got rid of a service advisor at old mill and eastside. I guess they are trying to restructure, so their is some fear their.
