Re: Judge Approves GM's 363 Sale

Fortunate yet unfortunate at the same time.

I'm hopeful that someone in Congress will push for reasonable bankruptcy court reform and eliminate things like a "363 sale".

Re: Judge Approves GM's 363 Sale

I was wondering I took the Buyout and when I did that I signed papers saying that I couldn't work for GM ever again. Was that the Bad GM? lol I doubt it.....I doubt that GM will ever come back to Dayton...sad but true.

You're short by a few billion...13 to match the government, to be exact. Then we would have to outbid them - tack on a few more billion.

After all of the other closings and business movements out of Dayton, I doubt GM has any interest in coming back. It is sickening how that city is dying so much employment wise.

No. Chevrolet should stop selling pick up trucks & most SUV's. GMC will then be more viable this way by offering pick up trucks & SUVs & a CUV or 2.

Re: Judge Approves GM's 363 Sale

It'll be quite some time before I consider buying another GM product. They have lost me after having been a regular customer for many years:

03 Chevy Venture
00 Pontiac Montana
97 Chevy Cavalier
97 Pontiac Grand Prix
96 Pontiac Grand Am
94 Pontiac TranSport
86 Buick Electra
85 Pontiac Trans Am
79 Pontiac Grand Am
79 Chevy Camaro
71 Chevy Camaro
64 Chevy Corvette

Also mixed in there have been some Ford products:
75 Gran Torino
82 Mustang
84 Mustang
85 Mustang
88 Topaz
89 Mustang
03 Marauder
08 Mariner

Ford appears to be my last domestic bastian as GM has failed miserably. I'm interested in the Dodge Challenger but the three dealerships I contacted this week have been completely unrealistic demanding MSRP or near-MSRP for their R/T models. Ridiculous!

Ya that is ridiculous. Why would they expect a customer to pay the Manufacturers Suggested Retail Price for a product. That's just plain dumb. Do you walk into your local grocery and barter about the 2% Milk price? I doubt it! You're probably one of those they think dealers make $7-10K on every vehicle they sell. Good ridence from GM! I have no patients for people like you!

And you claim to be a "regular customer" but according to your list the last new GM product you bought was 6 years ago. SEE YA!!

Why the hell is that ridiculous? If people find a Camaro at MSRP they're jumping up and down in joy.

Ya think the government wants GM that much? Here I'm thinking they'd just walk away if the next bid was a bit higher than theirs.

And I'm sure GM wouldn't mind a bidding war.

Oh yeah, I keep forgetting to ask... what's a 363 sale? That a Buick with some odd-sized V8?
