Japan is a nation of nationalistic mini sized Donald Trump car buyers? Rupert Trooper will be pleased Mini/Jaguar/Land Rover/Aston Martin/Rolls Royce/Rover/MG are all doing very well in Japan they all outsold Opel in March in Japan?

Those unsold Pontiac's keeps on selling like a long lost Japanese soldier on an out island kept on fighting after WW2 had ended.

Perhaps there is more than just making cars RHD, many on GMI make it sound like it's as simple as moving the steering wheel. For GM to compete in Japan they'd have to open up a large dealer network, possibly manufacturing capacity (will the Japanese want a Chinese made car any more than the Chinese want a Japanese car?), etc.. In other words, massive investment. And to make massive investment in a market that is known to be fickle is quite risky, I'd say a lot more risky that a $12B investment in Cadillac....
