Re: GMI Covers GM's "Crisis Mode"
thanks Ed for the information. I think you are right as one way or the other all the liabilities are going to fall somewhere.

Re: GMI Covers GM's "Crisis Mode"
I spoke to a couple of dealerships and they all said sales were fine...I don't believe them one bit...you could tell they were worried.
I am tempted to put some money in GM or F stock since it is so low right now.... |

Re: GMI Covers GM's "Crisis Mode"
Seems like most people in the U.S. didn't care about the dire straits of the domestic auto industry (including 98 of 100 Senators and pretty much every American newspaper except the Detroit Free Press) until the stark realization hit that our economy can't stand on retail alone.
Unless there are establishments taking parts and making a greater whole out of them (i.e. manufacturing), there is no economic sustenance. The system just feeds on itself until there's nothing left except bartering. "Pssst... trade you my crappy auto business for your crappy mortgage business..." Maybe the country can collectively boycott buying Christmas presents this year and save up, instead, to buy a car! |
