The Polk Automotive Loyalty Awards were recently announced at the Automotive News World Congress – and GM made a strong showing. GM was not only named the top overall manufacturer, but the Chevy Suburban was recognized in the Full-Size Sport Utility Vehicle category. The Polk Automotive Loyalty Award is based on actual model-year purchase/lease activity and recognizes manufacturers for superior performance in customer retention – a critical aspect of building and maintaining market share. Customers of these manufacturers had such a positive overall experience that they came back to buy another vehicle of the same model, make or manufacturer. It is the only award in the industry based on consumer loyalty. Awards are based on actual consumer transactions, with more than 6 million household records per year being analyzed to determine the winners. It is based on the census of information obtained from state registration and lease transaction information. Some people who buy Chevy's work their way up the line.
So when they get to the trucks they stay. Many GM cars were replaced.

It's hard to have high loyalty rates on vehicles that are one or two years old. Many of GM's cars have changed names in the past three years.

Yah, I remember seeing this one last week. Still, it is good to see GM at least show up on the list when it seems that very few consumers are loyal to one company anymore.
