GM Gets Ten Models In Consumer Digest Best Buy!

Automotive News / November 01, 2004 General Motors vehicles landed the most spots among 38 cars, trucks and SUVs named in the Consumer's Digest 2005 lists of automotive "best buys." The consumer magazine's annual list was released Monday. The magazine named 10 vehicles built by the world's No.1 automaker. Chevrolet dominated with its Malibu and Malibu Maxx, Avalanche, Equinox, Suburban and Tahoe. The Pontiac Vibe, Buick LaSabre and GMC Yukon and Yukon XL also were on the list. The magazine named vehicles in eight categories: small, family, sporty and luxury cars, and trucks, vans, compact and midsize SUVs, and full size and luxury SUVs. The vehicles named are: Small cars: Ford Focus, Honda Civic, Mazda3, Pontiac Vibe, Scion xB and Toyota Matrix. Family car: Chevrolet Malibu and Malibu Maxx, Honda Accord, Mazda6, Nissan Altima and Toyota Camry and Solara. Luxury cars: Audi A4, Buick LeSabre, Lexus LS430 and Toyota Avalon. Sporty cars: Infiniti G35, Mazda RX-8, Mini Cooper, Volkswagen GTI and Volvo's S60R and V70R. Trucks: Chevrolet Avalanche, Ford F-150 and Nissan Titan. Vans: Chrysler's Town & Country, Dodge's Caravan, Honda's Odyssey and Nissan's Quest. Compact and midsize SUVs: Chevrolet Equinox, Ford Escape, Honda Pilot, Mazda Tribute, Mercury Mariner and Toyota Highlander. yea, I would have that either the Caddy CTS or SRX would have made it.

I'd be a little bit more interested in Mazda - for such a relatively small carmaker (yes I know 33.6% is owned by F*rd) to have four spots in this is pretty cool...
GM is something on the order of 100,000 times larger... |

Great news because last time i went to a toyota dealership they had the C/D's report on display. Now theres hardly any on their list's. Haha what you gonna display now. Great marketing tool for GM.
