I think GM should do something about this... they need to set standards for Cadillac... The dealers are horrible. If someone is buying a Cadillac, they should be getting the same experience as they would if they were buying a Mercedes...this is gonna be Cadillacs downfall in the future... its going to hold them back in the consumers eyes. mark my words... and GM LISTEN UP======do something about this!!!!!!! Either separate Cadillac from the rest of the dealerships or set some sort of standards... Have the cars be in their own area, not parked next to a Buick Rainier or Pontiac G5.

I wonder if dealers that have Caddy combined with something else (Caddy-Chevy or Caddy-PBG) have lower customer service numbers, in general, than stand alones?

Re: GM is Customer Service Elite. #1 in Auto Industry, #3 In total!
The dealer experience in GM dealerships REALLY needs to improve if local dealers are any indication. Every time I walk into one I feel like I'm being judged like a cow at the county fair. They look at me like I'm a walking pocketbook, and talk to me like I'm a complete idiot and don't know the product as well as they do (when in many cases I know it BETTER than they do)
The exception is Saturn. The last Saturn dealer I walked into, the associate took the time to explain everything, and to talk about the various models and what he knew about the upcoming lineups. He was always respectful and courteous, and didn't treat me like a walking wad of cash. Real stand-up guy. I'd buy a Saturn over another GM product based almost entirely on the dealer experience. I'm sure I'm not alone. Part of getting people to want your cars is to make the car-buying process as easy and comfortable as possible. Saturn has this down to an art form. The rest of GM would do well to follow their example. |

Good to see. I've worked for both UPS and Wegman's, and I hope people understand how important it is for GM to stand in the group here. Where is Lexus, Infiniti, Mercedes, or BMW? Granted, this is only for Caddy, but it should be an excellent selling point for dealers to show when selling a Cadillac.

As a side note, Holden in preparing for the arrival of Cadillac in Australia has been smart and has limited the Cadillac dealerships to the top ranked Holden/HSV dealers. Obviously their ranking doesn't always gurantee anything as it depends on how they are ranked. But it should help keep some of the riff raff out.
I think this also applies to the Hummer dealerships as well.

Most people I talk to in southern Quebec tell me that they prefer Japanese/Korean cars, however, they feel the domestics, GM,in particular, have better customer relations, and service.
